Noturnall - New Shaman Members Project

There is a new project in town. Shaman members have joined drummer Aquiles Priester (Hangar/Angra) and rely on the production of one of the main heavy metal singers, Russell Allen (Symphony X/Adrenaline Mob). This new project is called Noturnall. Noturnall's first video clip for "Nocturnall Human Side" was recorded in New York and features Russell Allen himself. You can watch it now over here.

The band states: "The new band arrives to shake the foundations of the Brazilian and international heavy metal scene with a modern, heavy, progressive and astonishing sound. Thiago Bianchi, Aquiles Priester, Leo Mancini, Jr, Carelli and Fernando Quesada form a team that counts with the vast experience of the musicians on stages all around the world and a new kind of sound and attitude. "

The band's debut album, as yet untitled, will be released in January, 2014. Check out below a documentary about the inception of the band (subtitles in closed caption).

I was under the impression that this was going to be a new Shaman album that was supposed to come out last month. Is there still a Shaman album coming out or did it turn into this? Does this mean that Shaman is no more and morphed into this band? Seems kind of dumb since all that's different is they traded Angra drummers. If they hadn't of told me, I wouldn't of noticed the difference. I'm assuming It's the same legal shit that Andre Matos had to deal with when they split, since Ricardo Confessori owns the rights to the band's name.
