Honestly not too impressed with this one, the BM vocals kinda killed it a bit, I think more cleans could do it some good. Not letting my hopes down though, I'm sure the whole album won't be like this.

I enjoyed it! Nice drums. As for the vocals, they are nothing new tbh, they sound like all their albums to me.

Quite good. Great drumming, and I really like when the lead guitar and layered vocals kick in near the end, right around 5:40.

No surprises here which I don't necessarily see as a bad thing. Good song.

Oh my fuck <3 I don't know what it is about this band, but it's just stunning to me, it's a band that I can always listen to and just feel good. I cannot wait for this whole new album. And hopefully someday I will get to see them live. \m/

Sounds damn great if you ask me. I'm definitely expecting this to be better than Marrow of the Spirit, at the very least (which was just "good", for their high standards).

Sounds close to Ashes Against the Grain sans clear vocals. My hopes have just skyrocketed.

Very dark vocals. I do agree that they are somewhat overkill.

Sounds a lot like the songs on the other albums I have (The Mantle and Ashes Against the Grain) so I'm happy with that. I like those earlier albums a lot so I may invest in this one when it comes out, on the strength of this track. I notice the Pitchfork spiel describes the track as "the seven-minute centerpiece" of the upcoming new album - I wonder if that means this is longest track or close to the longest? Personally, I'd welcome that as I've grown a bit tired of most songs that go past 8-minutes. Of course there are plenty of exceptions, before people rain down on me about it.

To be honest, it was nothing special to me. Not bad mind you, just totally flat. I think it's the bass being too rich. It's definitely one of their more simplistic songs.

I have not listened to all of their EP's and splits but MoTS is much sharper than this tbh.

Yeah, it is pretty similar to AAtG tracks. Not as high as that album in terms of quality, though. Still a very good one.

MoTS sounds a bit more "grainy/coarse". This new track sounds crisper.
