Power metallers Iron Mask have been searching for a new vocalist and did auditions to replace Mark Boals. The band felt they needed a singer who lived close-by in Belgium. Iron Mask now introduce their new vocalist: it's Kelly Sundown Carpenter (Firewind/Beyond Twilight/Darkology).

The guitarist Dushan Petrossi issued this message: "We are happy to announce our new band-brother, Kelly Sundown (ex-Firewind & Darkology), as permanent vocalist of Iron Mask. You will find him from now on on every gig with us and on the following CDs. After a long search for the perfect person, we finally have the amazing vocalist with matching personality close by in Belgium. We are all ready and looking forward to tour the world and rock the night away.

Kelly said on his Facebook page: "Hey there folks. I've decided to join forces with Iron Mask. I grew up listening to Neo-Classical metal so this should be great fun! Mark Boals - who sang on my favorite Yngwie Malmsteen album Trilogy was the vocalist on Iron Mask's last album...so it all makes very good sense. Here's a pic of Vassili, myself and Dushan Petrossi at the Citadelle in Namur last night. It doesn't get more metal then that... We lifted a pint or two in the promise of bringing you something special!"
