Castevet - Call It Quits

Sadly, blackened post-hardcore outfit Castevet have officially broken up, after 8 years of existence. The New York City based band released two full-length studio albums: Mounds Of Ash (2010) and Obsian (2013).

Here is the official statement: "Castevet is no more. There is no single reason or event driving this decision; it is based on the need of each individual involved to continue to develop their vision within new and existing projects. To put it simply, it is time to move on. Thank you to all who have supported Castevet since our inception in 2006."

At the farewell, you can listen to their latest effort through the player here.

What a shame I really enjoyed their latest album & was looking forward to hearing what they'd come up with next.

Good, this will eliminate a lot of future debates during the MS Awards.

Blackened hardcore is pretty common, but blackened post-hardcore isn't that common from what I recall. Phantom Carriage is the only other one that jumps to mind.

It sounds like post-hardcore but well... blackened. Y'know... With black metal influences.
Why not give it a try?

I always thought it was pretty post hardcore... Both the guitar basis and the vocals, mostly.

Well, the later stuff is more bm, of course.

Krallice have nothing to do with hardcore. It's progressive/avant-garde Black Metal.
