After five years with the band, Asgeir Mickelson has announced that he has left Sarke. On what grounds he is leaving is not known. The announcement was short on Sarke's Facebook page, and even shorter on Asgeir's. Asgeir Mickelson simply said he left and the Norwegian black metallers simply thanked Asgeir for the great work he has done in the band and wished him luck with everything.

Sarke has released three full-length albums during their 6 years as a band. Mickelson functioned as drummer in the last two.
