Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Start New Album Final Recordings

While the release of the new Luca Turilli's Rhapsody album has been postponed, the symphonic metallers are currently at the Backyard Studios of Kempten (Germany) to end the recordings of the new upcoming record entitled Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus. While the recordings are being completed, new details have been revealed about this new output.

The regular edition of the album will be over 70 minutes long, featuring 11 titles and will be released in early spring by Nuclear Blast. Once again, the producer will be Luca Turilli, composer and orchestral/choral arranger of all the songs, while Sebastian Roeder will be the engineer and responsible for the mix. The new album will be mixed and mastered around Christmas time and two singles will be released shortly after the same mix.

Vocalist Alessandro Conti reveals: "This album surely includes the most and greatest challenging parts I ever recorded until now. I am sure our fans will go crazy for this new Rhapsody release because of the many surprises and real hit songs included inside it. I also had the chance to sing together with one of my all-time favorite singers and this has been a further satisfaction."

The composer Luca Turilli adds: "This is really a super production close to the one of a soundtrack for an Hollywood blockbuster. We recorded all kind of choirs for over 15 long and exhausting days, collaborating with amazing singers like Ralf Scheepers, Dan Lucas, Bridget Fogle, Previn Moore plus other special guests. I composed and arranged all the choral and orchestral parts in the same way I would do it while scoring for a movie or videogame trailer and I am sure our fans will go crazy for this new album as we do! I simply love it and I could surely define it as 'the quintessence of Cinematic Metal'. Bombastic, epic and dramatic as never before!"

Let's just hope this doesn't turn out to be an overblown cheesefest. Tho I believe it already IS one.

sprry, but you're in the wrong genre if your wanting your metal to be cheese free

I'm hoping it WILL be an overblown cheesefest. The last Rhapsody record didn't really deliver.

Well Turilli's writings have always had the right amount of cheese. But this is all sounding waaay too much with all the choirs and guest vocals and whatnot. Anyway I think the singles will determine the cheese level even tho they will only be the tip of the cheeseberg

Everything Turilli touches turns to cheese. It's the price he pays for still trying to rock a mullet 25 years after it was discredited as a hairstyle.
