Cadaver - Former Bassist Rene Jansen Passes Away
Rene Jansen, former bassist in death metallers Cadaver passed away yesterday at age 45, after battling leukemia for the past few months. He was currently involved in a black metal project by the name of Order, together with his old band mate Anders "Neddo" Odden, and early Mayhem members Eirik "Messiah" Nordheim and Kjetil Manheim, veterans in the Norwegian metal scene. The band stated earlier this autumn that they had high hopes, and expected a quick recovery for Rene. Sadly, he lost the battle.
It is always sad when a musician passes at a relatively young age. Let's hope that Order will continue their work, and that they honor the memory of their brother.
