American one man black metal act Utstøtt has recently posted online their Taake cover of the song "Doedsjarl". According to Navnløs, the band is a big influence to him in terms of writing. Utstøtt released their debut album this year titled Hjørungavågr. Check it out on Bandcamp if you like atmospheric black metal.

Navnløs comments: "As promised, here is the cover I recently recorded. Taake is a band that holds a special place as a direct influence to my writing and style. Also important to note is that a close friend and impressive drummer, Stormning, lent me his drumming for this cover, and I believe it turned out quite well. I made a conscious effort to both stay true to the original style of the cover, while adding my own touches. I felt it was important to keep the lyrics in Norwegian, so this version is correct word for word with the original. Thanks are in order to both Stormning for his impeccable drumming, and Lightfox for the support in uploading these songs. I hope you enjoy the product."



This cover will appear as a bonus track on the Hjørungavågr vinyl edition to be released in 2016.
