Clouds - Release Video From Upcoming Album

Atmospheric doom masters Clouds are set to release their third full-length album, entitled Dor, on November 15th and they have released a video clip for the title track, directed by the band's vocalist and drummer, Daniel Neagoe and featuring Pantheist mastermind, Kostas Panagiotou, as the main character. Enjoy it below and pre-order the album here.

The band recently commented about Dor: "On the way to the next resting place, we picked up many stories, filled our bags with lots or feelings and we feel it is now the time to write another chapter for you, our friends. Along the way there have been many tears shed, looking back at all we've all left behind, always remembering why this project had been created and trying to put in music our most deepest passion, love and sincerity in feelings.

"This will be the third chapter. A third story and a third chance to fight fire with fire. There is no other word in any other language to match the word 'dor'. It is Romanian for 'to miss (someone/something)'. Yes, there are similarities in other languages however none are as strong as this one. When you say 'dor' you express not only the feeling of physically missing someone, missing the presence of someone, but missing the very existence of what that person represents: physical aspect, memories, scent, allure, everything spiritual and heart-wrenching, joy and sadness.

"Some of you have already made some connections about the titles of our albums and Ep: Doliu, Departe, Destin and now... Dor. The albums have been a trilogy. And who knows what will happen after this trilogy has ended?"

The video is extremely cheap and bad, laughable even.
However, the song is excellent as is nearly always the case with Clouds and that's what is important.

The description of the meaning of the Romanian word "Dor" sounds very similar to the Portuguese word "Saudade". And here's an interesting read on the comparison of the two words: http://www.academia.edu/15532370/Expressing_cultural_identity_through_saudade_and_dor_a_Portuguese_and_Romanian_comparative_study

As for the song, top notch as always.

This is so beautiful... Sadness, decadence, ruins, melancholy, deep the wounds of the heart... The video however is not at the level of this magnificent song.
