Savage Thrust - Member Dies
American short-lived 80's speed metallers Savage Thrust, with one full-length album Eat 'Em Raw from 1991, announced that one of the band's guitarists, Edmund Varuolo, died.
The band said: "It is with great saddness that I have to write. My brother Ed Varuolo passed away today. I am in shock and deeply saddened". According to the band's Facebook page, Savage Thrust will reunite on September 28th at Mother Pug's Saloon, Staten Island, NY. Other bands will also take part in the event.
Former member Patrick Donofrio stated: "Many more bands will be announced as soon as I can confirm a list. The metal community heard of our fallen brother and are standing side by side with Savage Thrust!! To all our friends. All I can say is thank you. Your friendship means more than you will ever know!! Thank you............Patrick Donofrio!!"
