Metal Storm Awards 2019 - Voting Is Closed

February is now gone and the Metal Storm Awards for the year 2019 are officially over. We put a lot of effort for these and we were compensated by all of you with the biggest participation we've had in recent years. We saw categories exceeding or coming very close to 1,000 votes, which makes us happy and proud and gives us motivation to try even harder next year.

As we always say, metalheads finding new bands and bands gaining new fans are the real winners. Congratulations to those who took the time to check out the lesser-known acts, voting is now closed but you can still keep on listening while we begin preparing the 2020 Awards.

Check out the results over here and comment below. And remember to keep it civil.

I totally disagree with the progressive metal category, the winner of the album of the year was undoubtedly >> Evergrey - The Atlantic <<
the winner Borknagar - True North has practically nothing progressive to be in the Black metal category

you disagree with the chosen winner?

True North has pleased even progheads that don't usually listen to metal.

If it's okay that it's good, I'm just saying it's not the right category

I actually agree with MS classifying them as progressive black metal.

I'm one of the 15 pathetic losers that voted for Advent Sorrow.
