Amenra - Bassist Leaves, Replacement Confirmed
Belgium metal band Amenra revealed that their bass player, Levy Seynaeve, will leave the band to focus on his other musical projects. Furthermore, they are proud to introduce Tim De Gieter as the new permanent bassist in the ranks.
Statement from the band: "We hereby announce that our bass player, Levy Seynaeve, will leave the band to focus on his other musical projects. We respectfully follow his decision, wish him the very best and hope that in some way our paths may cross again in the future. While we are sad to see him go, we are also proud to announce that Tim De Gieter will now be permanently joining Amenra on bass. Over the last couple of years we have already played numerous shows and wrote music together with Tim on several occasions when Levy was not available. Tim has proven to be a perfect fit. Although many of you have already seen Amenra with Tim on bass, we cannot wait to be on the road again and formally introduce him to you live as our new official bassplayer."
Here are a few words from Levy: "Not having been able to give the band my full attention and presence for a long while now, I have decided to take a step back from Amenra.
"This decision doesn't come easy as the band has been a very big part of my life for over 8 years now, but I've made a choice to further devote my time to the other bands and projects I'm involved with. I'm grateful for all the great moments I've shared with Amenra and the surrounding crew and I'm glad to pass the torch on to Tim, who had been doing a tremendous job filling in for me in times when I was absent. I wish the band the best of luck on their future endeavors and I want to thank everyone I've met during this time, for making it so memorable."
