Rhapsody Of Fire - Upcoming Album's Title Song Streaming

After Rhapsody Of Fire just recently released their new EP I'll Be Your Hero, a precursor for a new full length to follow, the Italian band now present a title song from their upcoming, 13th studio album Glory For Salvation. The latter is slated for November 26, 2021 official release through AFM Records.

Alex Staropoli seems to not have any new inspirations in life. His compositions have become very stale. I own every rhapsody album by both Luca and Alex and I've decided this is going to be the first album I preview before I commit to buy it. Luca on the other hand is like the fountain of youth. He is always grabbing new inspiration and his music always sounds fresh yet faithful.

I heard both of the songs for this album and they sound pretty meh to be honest. Although, the title track is slightly better than I'll Be Your Hero, but it still doesn't sound that great, but not terrible either. Just got to wait and see what the rest of this album sounds like I guess...

I have pretty much all of their albums (Legendary Tales to From Chaos to Eternity and Into the Legend being the good ones!), and I'm not expecting Glory For Salvation to be that impressive, but mediocre at best. The new singer is pretty good, but not as good as the previous one however.

Weird, this song doesn't have a chorus.
It has a nice growing bridge that prepares us for what seems that would be an infectious chorus, but then... nothing... choirs singing something that goes against the crescendo, the singer screams the title of the song, and back to the beginning. It's incredibly anticlimactic - the complete opposite of what Rhapsody used to be. This singer has better accent and a better vibrato then Fabio L. - at least in my opinion -, but without Luca the formula seams incomplete.

More orchestral than europower by its definition, I noticed lack on any chorus as well, Turilli made same mistake on his cinematic albums.

To be honest both guys have been pretty stale since I guess the 4th album of Rhapsody. I think Luca's version is probably a bit better to listen these days but being fresh, i m not very sure. Both Rhapsody bands sound pretty stock/generic for many many years now.

I'm sure no one is taking it as a personal attack. It's just annoying to see the same tired unoriginal joke over and over that is definitely an attack on the sub-genre since you can make the same joke about the clichés in every other metal subgenre, but for some reason the people who make fun about the clichés in power metal don't make fun of clichés in the other genres. Though, without a doubt the joke is definitely suitable for this version of Rhapsody, but, like I said it's woefully tired and unoriginal.

Really? who else is doing Luca's style of electronic/etheric sounding new age/ new science themed cinematic/symphonic power metal (sorry for the poor writing style)? The structure and formula is definitely tired and true, but the flavor and style is very unique to our modern day Luca Turilli. His last album with Fabio was a change in sound and theme from the two before that, which themselves was a change in sound and theme from rhapsody of fire.

Amaranthe isn't that far from the register they're playing. More symphonic on one side, more pop on the other, but all in all not that far apart.
In fact Elize sings in one of the songs and you can actually tell she's incredibly comfortable doing what they asked her.

And you say Luca has a very unique flavor to our modern day, but allow me to disagree. Luca isn't unique even in Lucas world, as he has been trying to apply the same influences since Prophet of the Last Eclipse. Luca Turilli's Dreamquest was another take on that Symphonic Electronic Metal you talk about, as was The Infinite Wonders of Creation. The difference is that he has been trying that with Olaf Hayer and now he has Fabio Leone and his more operatic tremolo to play with.

Cheers

The new singer sounds like a generic power metal singer. Fabio made everything special. Hoping another Turilli album won't take long.
