Mono announce that later this month they will be releasing their first full length soundtrack album, originally written for the feature-length documentary film 'My Story, The Buraku Story'. It is scheduled to be released on May 27th via Temporary Residence Ltd. on CD and Digital, with a delayed LP release on November 11. Pre-orders alongside two streaming singles, "Kioku" and "The Place", are available now.

The documentary explores discrimination against a group of people - commonly called "the burakumin" - who were classed into lowly groups and segregated from the rest of Japanese society for centuries. When director Yusaku Mitsuwaka reached out to us to create the exemplary score for such a culturally sensitive and significant subject, we were inspired and had to take onboard.
