Forsaken Rite - In Search Of A New Bassist
Canadian folk metal representatives Forsaken Rite have shared a post via their Facebook page that they are looking for a new permanent bass player. More can be read below.
Statement from the group as follows: "We are a Folk Metal band from Edmonton, Alberta with a vision to immerse you in the world of our stories. With influences from Nordic and Celtic culture, we bring a fantasy inspired metal act that you haven’t seen or heard before. Forsaken Rite has a 10 year history that so far has included a LP, an EP, and many shows and festivals across Canada.
"There are new things coming for Forsaken Rite in 2023, and as we advance towards the continued realization of our vision, we are now in search of a new bassist. If you are a bassist and you are looking for a unique and challenging musical and creative project that has plans in place to advance as we grow our audience and discography, we are looking for you.
Assets and Requirements include:
- Must be a trained and experienced bassist with the ability to perform and act in high energy metal shows and festivals.
- Must provide a commitment to attend all rehearsals, photo shoots, and any other band commitment. Currently, rehearsals occur once per week in the evenings; however, as performances approach and as the band advances, this commitment will increase. The expected commitment will be one to three days/evenings per week.
- The ability to perform bass at a level similar to existing Forsaken Rite discography.
- The willingness and ability to learn and perform new, yet unreleased Forsaken Rite music.
- An interest in the vision, stories, and music that we are creating.
- The willingness to develop creative in-theme stage attire with assistance from other band members.
- An interest in the development and creation of future stories and music would be an asset.
- The ability to provide back-up clean vocals, unclean vocals, and chants would be an asset.
