Dream Theater - Working On Their 10th Studio Album
Prog Metal veterans Dream Theater are currently wrapping up work on their tenth studio album. The band commenced work on the as-yet untitled album - their second for Roadrunner Records, following up 2007's "Systematic Chaos" ? in October of last year.
Drummer Mike Portnoy and guitarist John Petrucci are once again producing the CD, while engineer Paul Northfield will mix the record. Roadrunner Records plans to release the album in early summer upon which the band will immediately embark on a world tour to support it.

I am already planning to camp out in front of the store to buy it. I will come wearing my "Mike Portnoy ate my baby" shirt and probably will play all of Six Degrees on harmonica then do an interpretive dance to a medley of 6:00/The Spirit Carries On/Surrounded/Yste Jam.

Like most have said, i also hope it's better than systematic chaos. i still haven't fully accepted it, so i hope the next one can be. i want something more like old DT, not that i don't like their newer stuff

Lets see if there if they can put the 'Prog' back into Progressive. I have not been seeing much over the last few albums. The do what they do well. Just gotta get a little more experimental. I wanna experience the WOW factor with these dudes again

DT has never desapointed me. I like their modern sound and Systematic Chaos is my favourite of them with Awake and I have heard all their albums. So Im just expecting this to be another brilliant album like Im used to.

Awesome band. Got to see the Systematic Chaos tour live in Rio de Janeiro. Almost got thrown out for having too much fun! I can't wait til this band learns to curb their attitude a little bit. Same goes for all the progressive bands these days. Drop the attitudes and focus on the music kthnx.
