Six Sex Six. Clever huh. How come nobody else ever thought of such richness? But this band is just getting started; also the lyrics are pure gold.

This is Kubla Khan. Shout and turn it inside out.
This is agrodeath. Fuck the discipline, motherfuckers.

Okay I lied; that was going nowhere. As (most of) the song titles were already hinting, the lyrics are as philosophically inspiring as getting a fish hook in the eye. I know we all can't be as poetically gifted as Shakespeare, but there are limits to what a human being can endure. "My shit is real, ready to fuck your deal", well, two can play at that game, cabrones.

Fortunately a tad more effort has been put in the songwriting department. Heck, for a split-second it even looked like these guys were trying to sound somewhat different than the rest. Sadly that perception quickly faded. A mere couple of unconventional Middle-Eastern touches in the opening track, and some primitive death elements in the rest, all blended together in an otherwise conventional but most of all unrefined mid-paced thrash climate. But that's about it. The album has its moments, but for the big part this is just the typical "here's my middle finger to society" type of record; a generic no-brainer. I was also going to make a reference to Satan's genitalia as to how raw and primal this music sounds. But after the "Satan is your only god" long-drawn-out growl in the title track, I think poor old Satam has already endured enough for one day.

I will show some respect to the fact that Kubla Khan are well-meaning and follow their metal heart and strong gut feeling in what they bring. Though, I simply can't imagine the band reeling in any big fishes with this undertaking. Getting your mug shot on the cover of some fancy metal magazine is flat out bitchin' and all. But it's just not gonna happen for these putas.

Metal Stormer since 2004 to 2011, returned in late 2024. Still don’t give ratings, though. The review will tell you way more than a number ever could. Just read it, disagree if you must, and we’ll yell, fight, kiss, and make up.

"I think poor old Satam has already endured enough for one day." You see the spelling mistake, don't you?

You're right. Must have missed the other two Satans I misspelled.

It's kind of a running joke after the site's little black metal escapade back in the day.

He's right though, the new in-thing is to spell Satan as S8N.

Didn't Brian Boitano beat up Kublai Khan at some stage?

Yeah! When he was building the Pyramids.

I've heard, yes, but I suppose my history teacher doesn't think he hasn't done anything so special that we should talk more about him or this mystic Kublai Kahn... Maybe I've missed the name of this Mongolian, I'm not that interested in the history of Eastern Asia (therefore I don't pay much attention to what the teacher is saying).
