Dagna Barrera previously played bass in the solo project of Neveremore vocalist Warrel Dane. She will replace Jim Sheppard, who underwent surgery on February 16th to remove a benign brain tumor. Sheppard is said to be on his way to a full recovery.

She's definitely a good bass player, although she seemed a little shy onstage until Warrel Dane headbutted her haha  (Besides, visually speaking, she's a great improvement over Jim Sheppard, just sayin')

I saw the Nevermore videos at the tons of Metal cruise. I didn't know about his cancer at the time. Well, Sheppard is not the cutest guy around. I'll give you that Collin

Well, unfortunately there are a lot of ugly guys in the metal world lol. But fortunately we go see them perform and not judge their appearance  .Anyway, if she's a good bassist, that's what matters. Of course it's a plus if she's good looking hehe. Wish all the best for Jim. Hope he recovers soon.

I saw her playing with Nevermore and yeah Warrel was constantly picking on her. She is pretty but playing the simplest way she could do.

Here is another female bassist: Lena Abé of My Dying Bride! Anyways, it is cool that Nevermore have found a stand-in bassist; I hope the guy she is filling in for is doing fine, considering the circumstances.
