Definitely some of the greatest music ever created, the talent the band had at this point is mind-blowing.

SO FUCKIN' UNDERRATED!TRUE CLASSIC

I wonder why isn't this album in the top.200 ,while a lot of album with a 8.7 rating are in that chart.
It's not fair at all,this is a Masterpiece,one the most beautiful (If not the best) albums in the History of Metal.

I got sad too because of that and i would like to see all my favorite albuns on that top, but honestly...?!
...if you ask me now, i would say that it doesn't count for nothing!!!
What really matters, is that you like...
Those tops counts for nothing!!!
One album that i really like is on the bottom 20 and i don't really care!!!

1988, what a year in Heavy Metal history. Operation mindcrime, Transcendence, Keeper of the seven keys. . .

"Eternal World" is fast too

Doesnt get all the praise from me that it gets here on MS.
It has some very good songs (mask of the red deah, where dragons rule),
and some good ones too (painted skies, title track, red sharks).
But the rest is rather meh to me. If it werent for that time I would tend to say, even a bit generic.
Some 7.6 from me.

Everyone should listen to this album.

This album just keeps on giving and growing. I started with a 7/10 and now I'm on the verge of giving it a perfect 10

One of the most enjoyable power-prog metal albums ever recorded. Every song here is a classic of some sort, and the masterful production by Jim Morris from Morrisound Studios is as timeless as it gets. Funny fact: Jim and the boys experimented with samples and synclavier to get better sound out of the drums, and only the cymbals are actually played by a live drummer.

It doesn't get much better than this, my friends.

A fairly consistent album with no bad songs, although Lady Of Winter is easily the best song IMO. Masque Of The Red Death, In Dark Places and Lonely are also great.

8.7/10 for me.

TIL that the album cover was originally a Japanese movie poster by Takashi Terada for some movie called Lifeforce, and that the girl on the cover is French actress Mathilda May.

Heh, I am surprised nobody else has talked about Lifeforce since this post. If you wanna see Patrick Stewart projectile vomiting blood then this movie is for you!

Also, Mathilda May was all kinds of mid-80s hotness in that film.
