Sorrowful and romantic?

As soon I saw the awesome artwork that graces this album I knew I was going to fall in love to this one, add the fact that the band plays Doom Metal (one of my favorite genres), and you got the perfect recipe to seduce me.

Whispering Gallery hails from Holland, and this is their third album so far, and their first one under the banner of Burning Star Records. The band plays Doom Death Metal, but the beauty of the album is not their sad and dismal tunes, is the vocals, three vocalist this band has, one handling the grunts, other the shrieky and high ones and one more to deal with the clean vocals, which are fantastic in my opinion.

Reminding myself to check this out.

I found it really meh tbh... Had a promo for a couple of weeks but just gave it away. I couldn't really get into the vocals, both the clean and the growls are almost annoying. Music was okay-ish though.

I agree. I had this on my death doom list for ages (unranked) and only today checked it out for the first time. The different vocal styles that are used at the same time really annoyed me. Sounds way too cheesy (power metal-ish) for a (death) doom band, so I removed this album from my list. Too bad, because musically it's definitely good.
