Kamelot - New Album Title Revealed
After announcing that Tommy Karevik would be the band's new vocalist, Kamelot have now revealed officially that their new album will be titled Silverthorn. It will be a conceptual album and the release date has been rescheduled for October 26th (Germany), October 29th (rest of Europe) and October 30th (North America) via Steamhammer/SPV.
The album cover is finalized but will not be revealed until closer to the release date. You can view the promo cover released below, but this will not be the main cover.

Can't wait! I really like Seventh Wonder and think Tommy can step in to some, admittedly, gigantic shoes left by Roy Khan. Kamelot has definitely become more progressive sounding over their last 2 albums, but I still love their music. Concept albums have always been a favorite of mine as well, so this will definitely be on preorder.

A concept album could be a good thing. Epica and The Black Halo were great, not just lyrically but musically as well. Something tells me I shouldn't get my hopes too high, but let's wait, maybe I'll be surprised. About Tommy, I think this is challenge for him considering the very unique Kamelot style that naturally demands someone unique on vocals. But he should manage.
