Track 1 recorded in December of 1993. Tracks 2 and 3 are biomechanical mixes recorded 1991-1993. Track 4 'Don't Bring Me Flowers' from 'Pure' was demixed in December of 1993.
'Merciless' is actually an old Fall Of Because song remixed. It seems 'Last Of The Biomechanical Urgents' by the band Murder Inc. is played backwards on 'Unworthy'.
The UK CD came in a slim jewel case while the U.S. release was a standard-sized one.
The 7" version was packaged in a double-gatefold on white vinyl.

Re-issued as part of a double CD package with Selfless as Selfless / Merciless on the 10th of September, 1996.
