The people who visit the already sold out Wacken Open Air 2013 this August are in for a treat because the organization is in preparations for a 3D movie about the festival, the music, the bands, and its fans. Wacken 3D - Louder Than Hell will be an exploration of the legendary Wacken Open Air, the biggest heavy metal festival of the world, and will shoot in July and August this year. Director Nobert Heitker's feature documentary, shot by producer and director of photography Tomas Erhart in stereoscopic 3D will give audiences a chance to experience Wacken in the most intimate way.

Norbert Heitker released a message stating that they are looking for international "real" 2013 festival attendees, who are willing to take the movie audience on their own and very personal journey at W:O:A. You will be able to experience the festival exactly the way you want, they just ask to tag along with a small camera crew, part of the time. To get a first impression of who you are, they would need a short personal video introduction (2 min. max).

They also would like to know: are you coming with friends, is this your first time to W:O:A or do you have any good stories about your last W:O:A experiences, how are you getting to Wacken and where will you stay, and finally, what is your favourite type of metal, and which bands are you most looking forward to see at W:O:A. Wacken 3D is planned to be released in Germany in the spring of 2014 and distributed by NFP marketing and distribution. The Wacken Open Air 2013 festival will be held from August 1st to August 3rd.
