Here we go again. AC/DC's drummer Phil Rudd has appeared in court for breaching his bail conditions, following an incident in Tauranga, according to Stuff.co.nz and many other sources. He was arrested less than a month ago. His bail conditions have now been tightened to include not taking illegal drugs to limit any "erratic behaviour". Crown prosecutor Greg Hollister-Jones said it was a serious breach because it involved interfering with a witness.

Rudd's lawyer Craig Tuck said his client acknowledged the breach, which involved Rudd running into a witness who happened to be in a shop at the same time. Rudd reportedly got into an argument outside Columbus coffee shop in the Gate Pa shopping centre, with an unidentified man at about 10.20am. A third man, believed to be the drummer's bodyguard, tried to separate Rudd and the man. This led him to being handcuffed and taken into police custody.

Judge Paul Geoghegan tightened Rudd's bail conditions to restrict him from taking illegal drugs and remanded the rocker until February 10th.

His lawyer said Rudd had a "chance meeting" with someone he was barred from contacting under his previous bail conditions. Rudd's bail conditions included having no contact with any of the complainants and police witnesses named in the police charge sheets.

Rudd is already facing charges of threatening to kill, possession of methamphetamine and cannabis, which he'll answer at trial next year. On Tuesday, Rudd's appearance in the Tauranga District Court was excused and lawyer Paul Mabey finalised Rudd's not-guilty pleas to charges of threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine.
