The released song was actually a bit disappointing after a couple of plays. Draws far too much on the Death of a Dead Day and not enough like The Trees...

I'll listen to it though.

I'm just happy to have these guys back creating new music. I agree that the new song was solid but a little underwhelming compared to their previous high standards. It's undoubtedly SikTh though, and with all music SikTh create it tends to get stronger with each listen as you pick up all the little nuances & elements going on. Looking forward to getting my hands on this EP & hearing the rest of it.

I love that album so much though. I was underwhelmed mostly by the harsh vocals. He has more than this Korn impression in him. In any case, I can't wait for the day this promo shows up.

Eh... every year I give it a go and it gets less interesting to me, whereas The Trees... somehow seems to get more timeless and perfect.

There are plenty of masterpiece-moments on this release, but I found them oft interspaced by pointless instrumental wankery. Also the half-shouted vocals that you usually find in "core" really put me off. Despite all that, I found this to be a really impressive release - they've still got what it takes
