It's not bad...but unless Tobi brings completely new set of vocalists, it will be the same old song over and over again

It reminds me "The Scarecrow", but much worse...
Like the begining where Hansi sings though

11 minutes long wank without any structure or progression. Sounds like Avantasia mashup over the years. On Youtube everyone loves it.

Definitely listenable but missing dynamic changes, riffs and some epicness. The vocal passages are nice but typical to previous Avantasia songs. The only highlight is the intro with Hansi on vocals, his voice is amazing. It's strange that I pretty much love all of Hansi's vocal contributions (Winds Of Destination - Angra, Avantasia, Demons & Wizards, Edguy) but rarely like his vocals with Blind Guardian (As high or complicated as they may be).

This album does have some new vocalists but no one different stylistically. I was honestly shocked this was Hansi's first Avantasia. Would be cool if he brought some vocalists from other genre's in like Mikael Stanne, Christopher Bowes or shit, even someone like Jonathan Davis. Someone who would stand out in the song and bring some color. I love Hansi and he certainly brings some color here, but hes still a power metal vocalist singing with a group of other power metal vocalists. They start to sound samey after awhile.
That being said, I liked the song.

right, he sounds good in Edguy's Mysteria along with Tobias. we also know very well the Hansi-Jorn duets from Ayreon project. I thought this time Tobi would be more creative in finding new blood...

I think people have just got into the habit of hating Avantasia and will write off anything. I'm guilty of that as well, along with Sonata Arctica anything after the first two albums is treated as inferior..
Metal Opera I & II are considered Avantasia's best? Wow - I've always preferred the 2008-10 period.
