Konvent - Danish lady death/doom. They had that nice primitive Derketa sound on the demo, not as much here but is sound quite good.

Pretty thunderous sludge doom, surprised Radu didn't already post it since he forwarded it to me:

new Nox Formulae, I was about to say modern Greek black if there is anything like that, not as melodic as the traditional greek. Cant remember exactly how the debut sounded now.
Very good stuff imo.

Ignore the artwork (it's ugly I know), this is quality doomy death metal in the vein of Asphyx, Cianide, Coffins, etc. Made by just one guy only.

Amnutseba debut coming, they had some promising demos. Sort of forward-thinking black metal I guess.

I've got a good sludge/doom record from Northern Ireland. Has some great artwork as well.

full Black Flux - russian black metal in the same vein as Ulvdalir. But imo this sounds slightly better.

Two Grifteskymfning albums out - Swedish underground black metal, traditional with a touch. Ffo Bekëth Nexëhmü, used to play in same band.

full Hræ - decent sounding Icelandic black metal, quite calm, borders on experimental.

Thrash metal from Belgium. Nice aggressive riffs an solid vocals. Enjoyable listen, so much so that I wished it would be a full-length album.

2 new recommendations. One of them is obvious I think (because I've recommended quite a few Joe Liszt projects/albums here on the site)

This time it's a Shadowkiller album. Heavy metal in its purest form. Like all Shadowkiller and Ancient Empire albums, this one has a nice old-school vibe to it. Nice riffs and vocals that fit perfectly with the style they are going for. The previous record (Guardians Of The Temple), I like a little bit more but both records have the aforementioned qualities to them.


The second record is a doom metal one. Mixed with some death metal elements. Some reallreally nice riffs on this record and most importantly the music creates a strong atmosphere (as it should in a doom record). The vocals fit really well with the music. Guitars have some really nice distortion without overwhelming the riffs themselves. I like this one a lot.

Nawaharjan - occult german black metal with scandinavian tempo thats been out for a while. Probably not the most popular style at the moment, good album though.
