Bonded By Blood drummer and founding member Carlos Regalado has posted a lengthy statement on his Facebook page, in response to the band's recently-announced reunion featuring a new lineup. Regalado, who is the only original member not present for the reunion, called the new lineup a "ripped off version of Bonded By Blood" and claims to have never given the remaining members of the band the rights or permission to the use of the Bonded By Blood name.

Regalado wrote the following statement on his Facebook profile: "ATTENTION BBB FRIENDS AND FAMILY. Recently, all CURRENT members and management of Bonded By Blood were removed from the official Facebook page. We initially thought that the page was hacked, unfortunately that was not the case.

"After calls between us and Jose and countless unanswered messages to Juan.. we learned we were removed by them and that they will be forcibly "reforming" BBB. We never thought we would be in a situation like this. It hurts to have sacrificed your entire adult life to your passion only to have it ripped away. I have been the only consistent member since the start.

"You see bands going through internal issues all the time publicly about money, indifferences, rights etc. Outside looking in, you think to yourself, "oh quit being babies just get over it, go play music." But Until you experience it yourself, it can quickly turn into a nasty situation that ruins friendships and sadly, destroy beloved memories we shared growing up together.

"We are saddened, insulted, disrespected and frankly feel stabbed in the back. Bonded' has never ever been a band that shared internal problems, we always chose to just let it go and keep chugging on. There have been countless fights, arguments and personal problems since we formed in 2005. it comes with the territory. Over time, You grow together and learn how to work with each other.

"Life can get in the way and prevent you from continuing for gems like Ruben. You can be fired like Jerry was. Your musical direction changes and you want to move on and play something different Like Alex Lee. But most end up quitting like Jose did over a decade ago.

"BBB has been my life since I was a freshman in high school. There has always been a plan in the future for a fourth album and beyond. This is the first time we have ever taken an extended break/hiatus. It's nice to have money in our pockets, real time for family and do other things for a change. Frankly, we have earned the right to step back and do as we please until we see fit to return. We worked our fucking asses off and dealt with all the strife and hardships (lots of bad luck on the road) and never gave up. We have invested our blood, sweat, money, time, health and practically our souls.

"And now we just get pushed aside.. like we didn't sacrifice everything we had these past 10+ years. They just come and take what we have worked so damn hard for. Last I checked, when you quit - that's it, you relinquish your rights.

"It is a disgrace what Jose Barrales is attempting. And a massive insult to current members and the unique history BBB was a part of to help the resurgence of Thrash Metal in the LA and surrounding areas back in the mid 2000s when it was nothing but emo hardcore.

"Jose threatening to sue us, forcing us out unannounced behind our backs in cahoots with Juan (which is also a shock, disappointing and so disheartening). jose has brought years of manipulation, lies and sleazy shit no one has ever cared to talk about. I guess, over time people easily forget or simply do not care. Its always been apparent to me and a damn shame that the metal community turns a blind eye to these slimy assholes with their huge egos. Poisoning such an amazing community of brotherhood and camaraderie.. just routinely shitting on it. I witness fellow musicians and fans eating all the bullshit up. We need to be protecting the community we all love.

"Sadly, I am certain most will not give a shit and there's nothing we can really do about this.

"Please read this with an open mind and heart.. if you have ANY Respect/integrity for us and all the hard working musicians who have sacrificed everything for the love of music and heavy metal, please DO NOT support this ripped off version of Bonded By Blood. It is not Authentic. We do not and have not, given anyone the rights or permission to use Bonded By Blood in any way.

"Sadly, We have no clue if we'll ever get the page back and do not know what his/their plans are. There is nothing else we can do except share the truth and hope it's enough.
I apologize for such a damned embarrassing situation. We hope you have our backs."
