Pillage the Village
Necrophagist
Dying Fetus
Into Eternity
Beneath The Massacre
Veil Of Maya
Super Happy Fun Story Time Land
So, I got drunk as shit and chilled at the bar during the first few bands, drank more, and then proceeded to the Dying Fetus pit. Even though Dying Fetus only has one guitarist now, they still destroyed, but still weren't as good as the other two times I saw them. However, the pit was way more crazy than before, and my friend and I got pretty hurt, in a good way though. After that, I just chilled and watched Necrophagist. That was my 4th time seeing them and they were awesome as usual, but they didn't play any new songs! What the fuck is their problem

I just saw ekotren, within chaos, straight line stitch, and bleed the sky. What a great show that was. It was one of the best I ever went to. All the people from the bands were just hanging out drinking, signing autographs, taking picturesand just hanging out with fans. Some of the coolest and nicest people I have ever met. They all sounded pretty good to.

Last night I saw KRISIUN, its was the first time I see them and it was fucking incredible!!!, it was a small place, the performance was flawless, it was a devastating and extreme concert I never imagined it would be like that, the best momemts were when they played Hatred Inherit, Apocalyptic Victory and Murderer 'cause we went fucking insane, the place was going down, moshpits everywhere and the energy was up high....hats off to Krisiun, I'll definetely go see them if they come again and I hope it will be soon

Finntroll & Warbringer
Warbringer were ridiculously awesome, all the drunks seemed to get into the pit at the same time for that band, so naturally it kicked a lot of ass. The venue was surprisingly small for Finntroll, not to mention it was a grimy little pisshole. Finntroll played well, but the keyboards were far too low so you could hear how boring their guitar lines were unfortunately, they still had good stage presence and it was pretty fun.

The last concert I seen was Summer Slaughter it had 9 bands and it was pretty wickid
Necrophagist was headlining, dying fetus, beneath the massacre, into eternity, neuraxis, whitechapel, veil of meya, divinity and commongrave.
the show was wickid but by the time dying fetus or necrophagist came on everyone was already whiped out. I'd say the most popular band at the show was into eternity they really got the crowd going.

Wow, I keep forgetting how big Divinity is getting....I still think of them as just some local Calgary bar band.

Wouldn't worry about that, at the rate their career is picking up speed you'll probably see them multiple times. Hell, they've already passed through my city like 3 or 4 times within the last 5 years.

Yesterday:
Ashes to Ashes Doom to Dust festival
featuring:
Bunkur, Serpentcult, Switchblade, Kongh, Mordor, Krux and My Dying Bride
As hoped and more or or less epxected Krux blew every single band off the stage. Great thing about seeing Krux is that they almost never ever play live. This must have been their tenth gig at most during their entire existence.

Carcass tour last night....and I got FUCKED UP lol
Aborted
For some reason Rotten Sound didn't show up, and instead of 1349 opening, these guys did. I was too drunk to realize what songs they played, but the fastest and most brutal song from their set was actually off the new album, which I don't like. Weird
1349
They played Chasing Dragons!!!!!! Man that was badass....they also played my second favorite song (also on the same album) so that was tight, but I was so drunk that I could barely see them lol.
Suffocation
These guys dominated as usual and they even played a brand new song, which was pretty fast. They opened with Entrails of You and also played Bind Torture Kill, Abomination Reborn, Pierced From Within, and a bunch more. Surprisingly Frank didn't blab on and on like he usually does between songs - they just played one right after the other. I was an asshole to some big guy in the pit for no reason. I always fuck with the biggest person there, and I think he was too dumb to realize what I was doing.
Carcass
I went to this tour more for Aborted and Suffocation, but Carcass actually was one of the best sets of the night. Even though they mostly played songs from Heartwork, it sounded great and was the perfect way to cap off the night.

Letest concert i went too was Manson.
That blew my mind. However, that may be because i have some deep rooted obcession with him, i'm not sure.
The concert was awesome, he blew me away. But, i think that alot of people felt disappointed.
The stage show wasnt the biggest and flashest i've seen. But, Manson is definately NOT classed as mannstream here, or even extremely popular for that matter. And his show reflected that. He took it easy with this one this time round. And i would definately go to see him again, and again and again.

Saturday was Horna in Aschaffenburg, great shit! The singer looked like Eric of Watain though....
They have a wicked presence! They played with Cirith Gorgor, Mor Dagor, Membaris, Engraved and Sterbeklang...or something like that..Sterbeusdflj...I don't know, lol.

Last night I saw:
Virgin Black
These guys were interesting to see. The show had a cool atmosphere for sure, but the half of the small crowd that was there wasn't into it really. The music was very slow, but since I'm a fan to begin with I enjoyed the show. The singer is a creepy looking dude too.
Samael
Another interesting show. The lead guitar player was having trouble with his set-up for the first half of the show, but it still managed to be entertaining. The drummer did something like half programmed drums, half drum-set-without-a-kick-drum type thing, which was fun to watch.
Amorphis
It was really cool to see these guys in as small a venue as I did. They played great, even though you sometimes couldn't hear the guitar. The singer is a very talented guy and has one of the best live growls I've hear.

ABACABB, Arsonists Get All The Girls, Tony Danza And The Tapdance Extravaganza, and Arcitect.
I thought it was gonna be a bunch of scene kids seeing these seemingly "scene" bands, but they were actually pretty good. And they were cool too, I talked to them after the show. ABACABB was fucking amazing and the lead singer looked like he was gonna kick someones ass the whole time they played. It was a loud ass show. It was last week. I still have bruises from the pit. And I wasn't even in it. Haha.
I'm going to see Dimmu Borgir, Moonspell, and Winds of Plague [WOP is fucking AMAZING live!] in like 2 weeks. I'm excited.

Last night at The Orange Peel-
Into Eternity
Why they opened I will never know, since I had never heard of the band that played after them. Anyway, these guys played a great set. They played a couple of new songs and crowd favorites, with the singer making the crowd laugh in between songs. Very entertaining.
Saviours
I'd never heard of these guys prior to the show. The singer was already drunk by the time the band took the stage, and that just made things worse. They're supposed to be some sort of old-school metal band, but they had everything turned up so loud that you couldn't really tell. Very bland performance, one of the most boring sets I've sat through.
Iced Earth
This was probably the heaviest show I've seen. They too had everything turned up loud, but I could actually tell what every member was doing. They played a good setlist covering several albums, but sadly there was no "Pure Evil" or "Angels Holocaust". Other than that, very heavy and entertaining. My hearing is still fucked too.

Symphorce in Tilburg, where both Opeth and Pain of Salvation were playing! Damn was that a nice show! Opeth played Demon of the Fall and The Drapery Falls, two songs I always wanted to hear/see played live by them. It was just epic .

Paradise Lost / My Dying Bride / Anathema
Anathema I must confess I wasn't really looking forward to, generally not my thing - however they actually were really good, and they played Sleepless which was a nice surprise.
My Dying Bride I have waited for ages to see and they didn't disappoint - the setlist I must confess I would have preferred different songs, however storming renditions of Vast Choirs / The Cry Of Mankind were amazing.
Paradise Lost - still absolutely shite, can't stand the band nor the people in it.

Noctis Valkyries II Festival
Bunch of local opening acts, but the main bill was:
Woods Of Ypres
Ahab
Korpiklaani
Ahab were really good, the sound was incredible lives, the only problem was they had to stop halfway through a song at one point due to technical difficulties, but the drummer went into a drum solo to occupy the crowd so that was pretty cool. It was stupid how many people walked away saying stupid shit like "Metal is supposed to be fast" or "that was like 45 minutes of pointless build-up". I know I'm not what you'd call a doom fan, but I at least have an understanding of what its about. I went and bought an Ahab CD because they were awesome.
Woods Of Ypres...nothing really to say, they were good, nothing amazing but still decent.
Korpiklaani sounded like utter shit, it came across as a garbled mess, perhaps too many instruments for a smaller venue? I think their the type of band that would sound better in an open air festival, or I hope so, because that was shit. Some of the songs I actually knew were undecipherable until the chorus.
