Blackened heavy metal, lightened black metal, speedened rock n roll... Its Abbott yes, but not a Immortal.. Maybe it is a problem. We wait Immortal. It's not best album, but a bit his I vibes here, i will say I can enjoy it a bit.

I think it's fair to say this is not Abbath's best work. The riffs are forgettable, the drumming sounds atrocious, and I totally agree about the production, it sounds far too compressed for me. If I was to give an award for worst produced album of the year this would surely deserve it, and the same would go for the most awful album cover too. "Trapped Under Ice" was a random surprise, for me it sounds like something between Motörhead and Immortal, but with bad mixing, It would be great if he could get away with renaming the band Immortalhead.

Overly safe + a lack of substance is the recipe for an unremarkable album. It's not horrible but there's nothing great about it either, just forgettable material in general.
