Witchrist really kicks ass though. They're more towards Blackened death. Check out their "The Grand Tormentor" album

Acoustic folk metal from Ottawa

BANDCAMP

Not sure I'd call this metal, feels like neofolk/classical to me. Either way one of my favorite albums this year.

Don't know how many would be interested but Deep Mountain finally released an album after their (imo great) selftitled EP.
Good chinese ambient/black with plenty folk influences hidden here and there. Not unlike the great so-called cascadian scene.

Mütiilation - Rattenkoning

not that i care for mutiilation that much anymore, but could still be interesting

Why talk about an album that was released in 2005?

Another track from Arizmenda:

It is a part of Black Twilight Circle Compilation. I couldn't find the whole thing since it is meant to be extremely cvlt.
Also, I need to say that it was originally released in 2013. Ajna Offensive is seemingly releasing it again this year.

Haha, yeah, I posted about this compilation ages ago in the BTC thread. Quite an amazing set of bands here (well obviously seeing who they're affiliated with).

This track is particularly immense.

I don't think the whole compilation is available yet but this should tide you over until then.
