I'm Hutch, 36, from France, living in Paris.
I'm working in french administration. My biggest passions in life are cinema and film music.
In cinema, I love a large selection of films. Beyond them, good westerns, action movies, peplums, police movies,... on a period which goes from the 60's to the 80's. Just a few favorites: BEN HUR, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE,...
In film music, my favorite composers are: Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, Elmer Bernstein and Ennio Morricone. I also love the epic works of Miklos Rozsa (BEN HUR, EL CID), several scores by Alfred Newman (HOW THE WEST WAS WON), Franz Waxman (TARAS BULBA) and more recently: James Horner (80's music such as KRULL, THE JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN, BRAINSTORM, ALIENS), Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, and the early music of Hans Zimmer (PAPERHOUSE, BLACK RAIN, THELMA & LOUISE). In France, I appreciate Philippe Sarde, François de Roubaix, Bruno Coulais, Alexandre Desplat and some music by the famous Georges Delerue.
Of course, I'm here to talk about metal. I'm more melodic/symphonic and a little bit progressive oriented. My favorite bands are: Epica, Therion, Whyzdom, Dream Theater, Ayreon, Pain, Trail of Tears among others.
