Looking like a model is almost unapproachable for for most people.... I dont fit the standards cus im short as %uck... haha so there goes my modeling career I'll just stick to being a metalhead lol

I'm short too, 5'5, I Don't typically look like a metal chickie I don't think anyway. However I find it's hard to find a guy in the metal world who doesn't have that annoying wannabe alpha male attitude that I would never ever date a guy who has it. I'm kinda on the thin side too. I don't think it's the kinda girls metal boyz want, it's just.........what they end up with, no offense guys. I'm sure a few of the guys here and out there somewhere are good catches. But the Alpha attitude is a mega turn off for me, maybe the biggest one.

Yep, the alpha male attitude would be a major turn off for me as well. (though I would say, guys like that can be found in abundance anywhere, not just in metal circles) A guy who is sensitive and caring is mega attractive to me, though funnily, a lot of guys think this is the total opposite of what most women want... go figure.

Oh no no no, I want that and a lot of it, lol. Way too true, but I find the death metal only guys who use silly terms like "flower metal" are the absolute worse. I keep my head down when they show up. I mean we've guns now, German Sheperds, etc we don't need Alpha males, or pseudo alpha males either. Around me the nice guy does win 100% of the time.

That is something I can't really comment on, because it's not something I have any knowledge of. But I'm sure it goes on. Still though, metalheads with "fat chicks" are in a minority, despite heavily outnumbering the female metal fans. So the notion posed by this thread, that metalheads prefer fat, "conventionally unattractive" girls, is one that I think is not true at all.

Agreed. I don't know any men who look objectively at two girls, one fit one obese, neither of which they know personally, who would say the heavier one is more attractive...metalheads or wiggers or otherwise.

Exactly, it's what they end up with or settle for. Nothing more to it.

I'd definitely only want a nice guy who is sweet and caring as a boyfriend. xD Shame that so many guys see being like that as being "un-masculine", whereas to me it's far more masculine, than the OTT machismo that most feel the need to put on. lol

@Odius: Yep, metalhead guys are really no different to any other men in that respect. Most men are attracted to "conventionally attractive" girls, who are also slim and fit.

Here's the thing, I like the nice guy, if it's unmasculine to other men or women, I don't care. I don't need or want "Masculine". Most people trying to do that are trying to fit in, I'd rather he be the nice guy and stand out. Being masculine for the most part serve no purpose in our society at all anymore. I believe it's the same for everybody; I really don't see a reason why metalheads should like more certain kinds of girls, after all, we're still guys and girls. Musical tastes don't have to do anything with the girl you like.In my case, my wife ABSOLUTELY does not like metal music at all and we've been married for several yeras now.

Nope nope nope, we all have a "Type" or several types. I have my checklist if he's missing metal I just can't go on that first date. lol I mean it's not super long but just 2-3 things rules out almost ALL men.

People who want to look good aren't necessarily all 'popularity craving morons' who feel the need to fulfill some social norm. To be perfectly clear, I'm not attacking your taste in guys, more your views on masculinity.

LOL you're actually both correct and incorrect. Yes the strong survive in battle, chooses a mate, however society has evolved past your caveman mentality. WE WOMEN choose the mates now, men go to absolutely pathetic lengths to mate now, and your views are part of why we make you guys jump through these hoops.
By fit in I didn't mean looks, I meant chest thumping. In today's chest thumping is not even done to impress women. It's done to provoke/intimidate other men, but it's aimed at other men. IMO it's an inheritly homosexual act. Don't get me wrong I love homos, I'm a fag hag (LOL!) Masculinity is no longer needed, I don't want it around me, I'd personally NEVER give a man the time of day who did something like this even 1 time in front of me.

Ah I see, well a bit of chest-beating is necessary from time to time...XD. Not in the sense of impressing women, you're absolutely right, we are past that stage now, but for warning off other guys absolutely. Being the bigger and 'badder' guy helps.

Well it is a little of both, I mean you can still clearly end up in a fist fight over a disagreement or simply being trying to avoid one. But I've seen so many guys try to impress other men with chest thumpin' I sit there and go.......man that's just a lil homoerotic. lol But yes it still does have a purpose, but I get the wrong signals if it's to impress male friends. lol

She works out alot, and she doesnt eat that much meat (I know that really sucks) So i dont think she will get fat

You never know, its hard explain how ppl be leither but even slim but women at age 50 wont be like she is at age 18

Don't worry, by the time you're 50, this whole discussion will sound like nonesense to you; a person in it's 20's-30's doesn't think like a 50 year old person, for sure there will be more important things to think about when you get older.

I don't know if there's a connection between metalheads and fat chics, but I've seen something similar here in Sweden. Understand, I'm originally from Chile and there as almost everywhere else, the guys like slim girls. So it was a huge surprise to see very good looking guys (almost like models) being together with really fat girsl, I mean it, Really Fat Girls! as in two-people-could-fit-in-your-pants kind of girls. Maybe they're blind or they fell for the girls' sweet and nice personality or many sweds have a fetish when it comes to fat girl...I don't really know.

(Hate away on it, but it won't change it. lol) Southern US accents/rednecks/hillbillies etc. Nasty, nasty nasty nasty, creeps me the hell out. Control issues/pseudo masculinity/chest thumping. Even if it's just during some stupid football game. I don't tolerant any man trying to be boss in my place, that being said I'm not bossy either. We discuss things, make choice, but the second a guy demands I do something he goes bye bye. His friends, bringing your pals over to watch football, etc etc and they end up watching me clean, cook, etc gets you a 1 way trip to their couch. My friends, I keep good friends, get along, or else. And finally we're a wild bunch, my date must have a ton of energy, hence I absolutely WILL NOT date an older man, ever.

Looks wise, not much here, if you think that being unkept and generally cavemanish looking is pleasing for us due to your laziness I promise you I won't even talk to you. lol Otherwise, don't matter, I don't even require a guy be tall like so many chicks, average height, hell my height don't care. I love long hair, but it's not even kinda a must. I like pretty men, but I've dated other types too.

And now for the part that men here will hate, I'm just about if not the world's biggest fag hag, so if you feel homophobic around my friends, utter a single bad thought, I toss you out, no if and or buts. +1000000 wild points in bed if my date is bisexual.

Them are my type, rules, whatever ya wanna call it, it rules out most men. In the end I am very picky, I am a girl who knows what she wants and I waited to get it, and I am glad I did.

Would you mind sharing that list of yours? just curious, would really like to see what makes you rule out almost all men...
I agree that all of us have preferences for a certain "type" of girl/guy, but believe me, I know a lot of people that ended up having a girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband which apparently was not their "type"...:noidea:
Who knows, one of these days maybe you'll meet someone which will make you forget about those "rules"
Give yourself a chance, Yasmine
