I've always thought that the word "celtic" with "s" sounds better than with "k". I'm kinda weird, right?

Same here... Now that I'm know that the band is supposed to have the k-sound. It's just weird.
I doesn't feel right to me to say Keltic

Has nothing to do with the pronunciation of Celtic.
Tolkien based his so-called languages on real languages like Celtic but doesn't really have clear pronunciation rules or even a proper grammar, so they aren't even proper languages.

About the pronunciation of Celtic Frost and Celtic...
here we go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic
It turns out there is more than two sport clubs where it's pronounced as Seltic.

A lot of times in English a "c" is pronounced as a "k", just look at common, cunt, crap, cook, cool, cave etc etc.
And an imaginary, non-existent language cannot be used for determining how something is pronounced in a real clearly defined language which actually consists of pronunciation rules, grammar rules etc.
Elvish, Orcish, etc etc aren't real languages so you can't use those to determine any stuff.

After Reading all the pages... I feel so weird becuase now I know that I said Celtic Frost wrong for years.
And I don't even watch football at all!!!

It must be because I speak spanish... So the C is like a S.
So... from now on it's Keltic Frost for me as well

I've always thought that the word "celtic" with "s" sounds better than with "k". I'm kinda weird, right?

Well sometimes when poeple talk about Celtic Glasgow they say whit k and sometimes whit s so I dunno I alays use s when say csltic dont know whya nd how's correct
maybe its schotisch, irish english against american

Celtic Glasow (the football club) IS pronounced with an S, and is the only instance of the word ever being pronounced with an S. It has nothing to do with different sorts of english, it's some weird exception to the pronunciation of the C in the word Celtic.

what about the basketball team Boston Celtics?

true, also an S you got me there. Must be a sports club thing then.

That is odd... never thought about that, lol. Boston C(S!)eltics... fucking strange!

I'm chilean, and just like Bad English said, I don't really now how to explain the U sound because right now I don't know any english word with the same U sound.

Hehehe, the best U-sound I can think off is Celtic Frost's trademark: UUUUHHHH! Soo... if you understand what I mean, then you should know now that it's not like Yo-waral
It's more like Ua-ral ... The Ua part is similar to the word "what" without the t of course.
