I'm sort of new I've been on for almost a month. Will you teach me to metal?

What's up MS forums, been using the website for few a while but am only starting too lurk the forum. I'm into Prog Metal like Dream Theater and Pain of Salvation; Melo death like Mors Princimpium Est, Kalmah and Insomnium; Technical Death like Martyr and Quo Vadis; Melodic Doom like Swallow the Sun and Daylight dies; and other Death Metal like Opeth, Edge of Sanity and Death.

Wudap fools, i'm Javier. I used to be in this forum around 2003 - 2006 years if i am not mistaken.

I wonder what have happend with a lot of forumers i used to chat / share opinions with. I know some of them stopped checking this community due _several_ factors.
Apart of this i remember there was a DC++ hub. I wonder what happened? hmhm but i remmeber the last time i logged in... there was no longer any DC++ hub.. heh...

hmhmmmm now i see a lot of features changed. Ah, could anyone answer me why is there no user points anymore?.

About my music taste well i have a different opinion about metal as i have opened my mind to differnt music as Rap, Rock etc.
As for classical and lyric opera well i've always sticked to it.

Newbie here. Been lurking around for a bit, reading reviews, finding new bands and stuff.

From the east coast of Canada.. Cape Breton to be exact. My name is Survine...
Im a big wrench head, always working on something or building some sort of vehicle and also work as a heavy equipment mechanic. I play alot of guitar and bass..

Big fan of music of any style with some talent involved in it, but mostly metal.
Favorite bands right now would be.. Obscura, Emeth, The Faceless, Necrophagist, Quo Vadis, Anata, Nile, Nonexist, Gorod.. too many to list but i cant seem to stop going back to those bands for the last 6 months or so.

Like to jam whatever chance i can get, have a little project on the go with 2 other buddys and female vocals, ill post a link at the bottom of this post, its pretty dam raw and everything was wrote and recorded in a basement in about 2 weeks so be gentle LOL.

Anyhow ill be seeing you guys around, keep it real!

I used to use this site a few years ago before life got a little too hectic to support the addiction! Having just moved countries I thought I would come back, as it was always a very useful place to find out about local happenings. Shame I don't remember my old log-in... or maybe not...

I'm heavily into black metal, but not exclusively... I've spent the past 6 days listening to Obscure's "On Formaldehyde" on repeat. It's a strange time in my life :-)

Thank you.... I believe it was bloodonice. There's another one of those active now who isn't me; I'm sure I've still got the email address I used and could reset it, but it was a long time ago, so maybe a fresh start is good. If I can generate the courage to be a 'new person' expressing an opinion, haha.

Mm, I've moved around quite a bit since I was last around. But most recent move is only from England to Scotland - might not look like a big move from outside the UK, but for me it's quite momentous. I grew up here, so it's a homecoming.
