I wouldn't expect any serious music coming from a band named Guantanamo Party Program

Then you shouldn't expect any serious music coming from 99% of the bands either.

I never said I cared. I like a band called A Million Dead Birds Laughing. I'm just saying.

Some gem from 2008. Not on Bandcamp but you can listen to them on Facebook, especially "Amphibian". Swallow The Ocean [Facebook Page/App]

22.08.2014 - 04:08 Written by tea[m]ster on 22.08.2014 at 03:58 I like you when you're drunk. I moved this here because I think we spammed the Rosetta thread enough. Thank you for taking the time to come up with recs for me all the time. Now. 1- Mouth Of The Architect - I listened to their 2006 or 2008 release years ago, but couldn't find any trace of it in my Last.fm or MS votes. Must have been on my old account. I don't remember which one exactly, and what I thought about it. Kind of a bad sign, I usually have good memory for that. Will try but not top priority. 2- Never listened to anything they did. An album in particular? 3- Never even heard of them, same question as #2.

24.08.2014 - 02:29 Written by Ilham on 22.08.2014 at 04:08 For Blindead, their masterpiece is Affliction XXIX II MXMVI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7FFIVI86iQ), and it's pretty awesome. There are lots of really interesting things the band does, some enthralling melodies and a really interesting story being told. If you like that one, I recommend Autoscopia/Murder in Phazes which is almost as great. Absence is an amazing album for alternative metal fans, so if you tend to listen to bands like Tool/Karnivool as opposed to Isis/Rosetta/CoL, I highly recommend you check that one out as well. I personally think it is Blindead's best album, but that's not the predominant view on MS. As for Irreversible, I never heard of it until Jay mentioned it. I still have to check out that band myself!

24.08.2014 - 02:38 Written by Diverge on 24.08.2014 at 02:29 Thank you for the answers. I will check the albums you recommended in that order. I should maybe specify right now that I am far from being a fan of Tool and Karnivool, so I'm not really sure if I'll like that one. Will give it a try at least. You'll surely hear about what I think about the albums here or in their respective threads.

26.08.2014 - 00:03 Written by Diverge on 24.08.2014 at 02:29 Written by tea[m]ster on 22.08.2014 at 03:58 I was listening to this, and I automatically thought you two guys might like it. Maybe you know about it already, it was released in 2010, but who knows. The shortest way to describe this is Soudgarden gone post-metal. It takes a little time to get into it, but once the second track started I was hooked. Viscera/// used to be a grind band. They still have a couple very short grind-like moments in the first half of the album, but the second half doesn't feature any of those. They also used much more harsh bm-like vocals starting from the third track. Which ruined it a little for me, but might not necessarily put you off. Anyway, this is where it happens.

Skein's debut full-length is the tits. Majority of the tracks are seamless, so I encourage you to download the album for free (or look it up on Spotify) instead of suffering from Bandcamp's stream buffering. Seriously, it makes a huge difference with this record. Bandcamp Trivia: A 36-paged novel was published alongside the album, telling the story behind the theme.
