Interesting choices, I never saw Moonspell live, as sinful as that may be (I will this year) so basically I only saw underground bands live but there are pretty good bands like My Enchantment (who I'm always talking about, its cuz they are really good) and they usually do a cover as well, Arch Enemy's We Will Rise, it works pretty well because its a great song. And they are not good because they play that cover, they are good because they play the songs from their album and do it very energetically and accurately. I think RAMP are very good live, but I only say them for like 40 minutes, unfortunately. But they rocked the stage, besides their songs are good so they might as well do it.

There are bands with great shows. This are some of them: Moonspell: For all that surronds the show(as we say here in Portugal "A Mistica") Ramp: Very good interplay with the audience Simbiose: Mosh since the first second! Holocausto Canibal: Crazy motherf*ckers! Acromaniacos: Avacalhanço Total I could go on, Strupum Dei, Decayed, Pitch Black but I'll never get out of here!

Got another one: Alastor : Black/Thrash from hell! They are highly influenced by the 80's Thrash and they released 3 albums. One of them is totally written in Portuguese (with the exception of only one song). Well, i checked their albums and i definitely liked some of the songs that i heard. The only problem is the production, quite bad imo. http://www.myspace.com/alastorportugal

Production is a problem for bands here, there is very little money and very few good places to record stuff.

Quality music is dangerous... People would rather listen to the same songs about how the neighbour has a nice garage and how codfish is better if cooked with garlic, than to listen to lyrics that could even make them open their eyes. Ooohh! (Talking about the subjects of pimba music gets so weird when done in english... )

Yes, its hard to face life and what really going on. People would rather be cozy and blind. Its more confortable to live your life that way, I'll tell you that.

18.04.2008 - 18:15 Written by SlaytallicA on 18.04.2008 at 13:21 You could come too. Anyway they're still not selling the tickets, which annoys be because I don't like to buy things at the last minute. Especially being the festival it is, it'll be the biggest one ever held in Portugal, they should sell the tickets earlier, thats how things are done and it gets people going.
