I already used to like Metal a lot, but loose songs here and there. The entire albums I would listen and be fond on metal were: Van Halen - Van Halen III; KISS - Psycho Circus & Metallica - Reload. Circa '98 Then I stepped back from metal a little but returned around 2002-2003 with these albums: Helloween - Better Than Raw; Nightwish - Once & Within Temptation - Mother Earth

It must have been Uriah Heep - Salisbury even it was released 5 years before I was born. Even tho I'm an old fart my two brothers are even older, 10 years older than me so I've been exposed to the rock/metal music since the day I was born as I shared the room with them lol At age 5 my favorite song of all time was Lady in Black, you can only imagine the level of embarrassment my parents had to deal with a little cute girl who was singing that song right about everywhere, bus, grocery store, kindergarten etc. etc. I still love that album dearly and every once in a while take it out and listen it days in a row.

The first Hard Rock recording I ever got was KISS - Dressed to Kill when I was eight. The first Heavy Metal recording I ever got was MOTLEY CRUE - Dr. Feelgood when I was ten. My first foray into the more extreme side of metal was with BRUJERIA - Brujerizmo when I was twelve.

I came up during the Nu Metal craze, bands like Limp Bizkit (I still can't forgive myself) and Disturbed were my intro. It was Slayer's "God Hates Us All" that got me hooked on the more traditional stuff. I had liked Slipknot and Black Sabbath, but I was mostly listening to random shit. One exposure to Kerry King's solos and it was over.

Oh yes, it's the topic I was looking for... eheheh it's not true! But I love to answer! THE DARK RIDE by Helloween.... Cuz..... In 2000... I had a band (me and a friend, guitar and voice) called Mirror. And we were looking for songs called mirror! We found Mirror Mirror by Helloween, and I thought to Helloween cuz my cousin that lived upstairs listened to them!!! We didn't think it was a metal album, but since taht day I went weekly to my cousin's to take a different album to listen to! Next were Visions by Stratovarius, Mandrake by Edguy, Oceanborn by Nightwish and so on..... Ah... before that day I listened only Oasis and pop rock bands.....

Well, it was Def Leppard's "Hysteria" that started me on the rock path. From there, my musical tastes just got heavier. The first truly metal album was Sepultura's "Chaos AD".

The first hard rock( or metal if you wanna call it that) was Sevendust's album Next. I remember hearing the song Ugly on Music Choice and loving it, so when I saw the CD, I asked my parents get it for me since I was 15 at the time and didn't have a job. I believe it was one of the first parental advisory CD's I had bought. That CD amazed me at the time because all I listened to until then was rap and hip-hop so to hear something aggressive like Sevendust blew my mind. It was even more crazy when I got an album like Mezmerize by System of a Down, since that was a much heavier record. I kept becoming amazed by SOAD's heaviness once I got more of their albums, like their self titled first album. As for the first real metal album, it The War Within by Shadows Fall and I got it months after getting into SOAD and Sevendust. I remember hearing the acoustic intro to the song The Light That Blinds and thinking "What the hell is this? Where's the metal?! Did I accidentally buy some pussy acoustic album?" then once that song kicked in I was just in awe of the guitar work and heaviness. I then became addicted to metal and started trying out other mainstream bands at the time, like Mastodon, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne and many others.

Linkin' Park - Hybrid Theory about 10 years ago. I'm not even sure you can class that as metal, if not then I guess it'd have to be Disturbed - The Sickness. Just to let you know, I don't listen to nu-metal anymore because not long later I realised there's better bands.

A Disturbed mix cd got me into harder stuff, but the first album I actually bought was Children Of Bodom's Are You Dead Yet? which took me about eight spins to get into before getting Follow The Reaper. For being the most commercial COB album at the time, AYDY was still rather harsh on the ears for a person only used to clean vocals.

Cradle Of Filth - Bitter Suites to Succubi (EP) Actually, "Suicide and Other Comforts" is the very first Extreme metal track I heard and I instantly loved the genre. Before 18, I almost didn't listen to music at all. I got intoxicated immediately and became a metalhead in no time.

Within Temptation - The Silent Force This album had been stuck in my head for about half a year until I started to listen artists of the same genre (Symphonic), and then spreaded to Gothic doom, doom, then death doom

The first Metal/Rock albums i god where Korns Follow the leader and Marilyn Mansons The golden age of grotesque. I think I was 12 or 13 and believed that it was the most evil shit in the world, hehe... I still kind of like them... Later on I got stuff like In Flames, Hypocrisy and Dimmu.

Dream Theater - Train of Thought. I got it as a christmas gift in 2003 or 2004 from my uncle. At first I didn't like it that much, but in time I learned to love it. After that, I wanted more and here I am now.

Well, can't say it's metal, but should be creatures of the night from KISS, and alive III from KISS too... Both in the early 90's. (1994 or so) But the real metal album that was show to me, that introduced me were 2, to be honest. First Black Sabbath's Volume IV in 1994/5, and Iron Maiden's Killers, in the same year or so. But i only started to like maiden the nexter year, when i bought theyr Best of the beast.
