So that's the point.. Attila has the ability of changing the range of his vocals better than any other in Black Metal, in my opinion. He's great, and not to mention De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas was the best Mayhem album, since Ordo Ad Chao is 10 times better..

Yes. He pulled off some impressive 'kinda operatic' styled vocals.

By creative I mean has he ever written lyrics or songs. Hes a great vocalist, we all know that. But concerning Mayhem I'm not sure if he's been a part of the songwriting process. Unless he did lyrics on Ordo, which is a possibility.

Ordo Ad Chao was the idea of both Attila and Blasphemer, according to his interview with Metal Storm.. So he was involved in composing such sounds.. And that was predictable. Mayhem have changed a lot comparing to previous albums. Ordo Ad Chao was such a Noise album. Exactly like what he's done in 21th century, after joining to Sunn O))) and working with Grave Temple, Burial Chamber Trio and so one.

By creative I mean has he ever written lyrics or songs. Hes a great vocalist, we all know that. But concerning Mayhem I'm not sure if he's been a part of the songwriting process. Unless he did lyrics on Ordo, which is a possibility.

He didn't write lyrics, but he did create vocal melodies, so I consider that somewhat creative.

Yeah, I have to go with Maniac. I just prefer the sound of his voice. I don't much care about that other stuff.

Vocally, I think Dead was the best. But between Maniac and Attila, I definitely prefer Attila.

Dead was young, immature, and concerned more with the band's image IMO. After reading some of his interviews, all the did was talk about non-musical shit like what kind of dead animals the band will have on stage etc. Atilla not only saved Mayhem, he helped the band progress into a true powerhouse.

Before the latest Mayhem record was released I did probably listen to Live in Leipzig more than anything else, because of it's peculiar qualities, and also because of the massive influence the then Mahyem had on music today. Ordo ad Chao, however, blows everything else out of the fucking water.

Attila all the way!!!!

Of course no one can beats Dead's lyrics, but voted for Attila, I like his voice more.

Attila is one of the most unique vocalists out there, and his vocals on DMDS are unsurpassed in black metal. Dead would likely not recieve nearly as much praise as he does should he not have killed himself.

Attila wins. He's one of the best BM vocalists.

I prefer Dead's more raw style, though I do wish he would have been around for more albums.

I hate Attila's vocals.

Dead's are the best Mayhem's seen.

I probably made myself look really dumb, but from what I've heard I prefer Dead, and not in the "Oh it's kvlt because it killed himself" I just prefer his vocals.
