oh and I forgot to mention. The heaviest death metal band in our local scene is fronted by a woman, and it's scary how well she can growl

And most places a chick can't even walk down the street wearing a metal t-shirt without all those superfical barbie sluts staring at us.. If its ohk for guys to listen to metal whu can't girls do the same!!!!!!

Yes girls can certainly 'rock', they can be good musicians and vocalists, but I'm mor into Black/death metal, where female vocals can't exist (if added to it, it only gets spoilt) so I'm not concerned about female 'rockers'.

but that's doesn't mean that girls can't rock... they can!!! but not some sissy girl who comes on stage to show how pretty she is and sing like a stupid soprana (kinda hate that) .... I like girls with ATITTUDE!!! wild !!! violent in their stage moves abd with a strong and decided voice

Yeah, I couldn't agree more, but try to Astarte, Greek Metal Godess, thsi is not only female vocalist, all band members are girls and they fuckin' destroy!

That's true. But it's a fact we rock as hard as the guys!!! At least I do. I know that when I was younger and I was at a concert I looked around and saw only guys headbang and yell. So I was like, omfg, it's a guy's domain. Later on I realised i don't f*cking care, if I wanna headbang and yell, I'm gonna do it!!! It's also a great thing to meet guys I got some compliments about my hair and headbanging on the concerts And my friends who go to gigs and concerts with me all say I rock the most out of all of them, and it's mostly men (I have only 1 female metal firend). So, there you go!

I don't know about any other metal girls out there but i sure dont give a shit about what the "barbies" of the universe think, i wear my metal shirts proud at least im not trying to pretend to be something im not!

I have to say when i saw slayer, there were plenty of us metal girls there to support them! Its not all bad news

Here in Estonia we have a lot of girls in metal, tho on the concerts only few of them banging or moshing, what a pity... BUUUUUUUUuuuuuuut i don't consider Nu and Hardcore stuff, the girls there windmilling the shit out of damn emos, tho thats not a fact, it's just what i have heard from my fiends, which are girls aswell.

Girls can certainly rock as hard as guys, there's no disputing that. However, the fact remains that there are FEWER girls who are into it, regardless of the undeniable hardness of the rocking done by those few.

whenever i go for shows at the beginning i wouldnt head bang my bro would tell me to but i start feeeling the music and then i go freakin wild i jump all over and go crazy headbanging..........its soo much fn an....i always see these sluts standing and i knw those chicks they wear these super tight stuff and short tops and they cant even freakin walk in them and then they wonder y guyz grab theyre ass...stupid chicks!! feel like goin an punching them! hehe i should push them in te mosh lolz tht would be damn fun see theyre freakin faces being smashed heh heh ............

Girls can fucking rock, the only thing that i think is diffrent from girls and guys are the dick and boobs, and you know, there is other things, but a girl can be just a big and muscular as any guy, and a guy can be as small as anygirl. Well to stay on topic they can rock, i mean i dunno if many people know the band Warface, but their lead guitarist is a Girl and she is really really good at guitar. And also my girlfriend, is pretty good at guitar for only playing for a year or two, just teaching herself, she can play some of "I Am The Black Wizards" by Emperor some of "Mother North" by Satyricon and some "Silent Night,Bodom Night" by Children of Bodom and i think she can play some Arch Enemy im not sure but yea. Girls can definatly rock out, there is nothing that makes them incapable of doing so.

Has anyone else noticed the influx of girls attending all sorts of metal shows now? A couple of years ago there weren't that many but now there are quite a few. A substantial, noticable growth in numbers. Or maybe it's just London...

Reading this post , i have remember the last dvd from nightwish, end of an era. Much attention have given to those girls crying all the time. Besides they were , and their presence fill some spaces in the dvd . Seriously , female presence have become a significant in concerts , and thought that some years ago this was men's world . It is a positive sign and hope that more popele attend to concerts about metal scene . Metal heads can do brilliant concernt , altough i say that they are better than some dance type concert where all are filled whit shit

A lot of my male friends complain that there are not enough girls at metal gigs, which is pretty stupid. Doesn't really matter who's at the gig as long as you enjoy yourself. It's a gig, not a dating agency.

THAT is very true! In fact i've seen lots of girls that mosh and head-bang a lot more then me, and i'm a guy (i have my personal reasons though - don't wanna ruin the hair, you know? ) Anyway, when i saw Metallica live the girls in the audience were going WILD!

As for women making metal - they can.period. Angela Gossow is awesome(BTW why does everyone say that she is cool but that they don't like the music? Oh, must be that whole "everyone has their own tastes" thing)

Anyway, Astarte, previously mentioned as well, are a super-cool band!

Also if guys like Lacuna Coil just 'cause dey wanna stick it to Christina, then so what? They're getting new fans, aren't they?

Bottom line : Girls can and definattely rock!
