Watched Super size me for the second time last night. I seriously don't want any fast food near me for the next couple of days. I understand that the movie takes the matter to the extreme, but the amount of damage you can do to yourself in such a short period of time is unbelievable. Not to mention the drug-like effect that stuff can have on you.

That is in no way shape or form of a proper way to prove a point. If you ate the same type of of food like that it will damage you. Its common sense .
Check out super high me.

Has anyone had the pleasure to watch this?

I have seen it, its very good, gives a great insight into military life in Afghanistan. Overall it is a really well constructed doco on military life in a place that was considered to be one of the most dangerous on Earth. One thing in particular that Restrepo achieves is giving insight into the more human side of soldiers and the extreme situations and conditions they face. Well worth watching.

As a veteran who has been in that same place dealing with the exact same things, it hit me pretty hard.

I'm currently watching Monsterquest, which is not a documentary film though, but documentary series. I watched the whole season 1 and I can't seem to find a grip on season 2 anywhere. Anyway, it's a documentary show on cryptozoology, I find that theme very fascinating, loved it as a child, read about it and so on so I decided to amuse myself with this documentaries.

Until the Light Takes us

Yeah I know...it's old now and I should've seen it way sooner but here's the thing. I was never into Black Metal and was never even curious to understand the origins. I always saw these acts as a joke and kind of made fun of it, but this movie kind of changed my perspective. I still think its wrong and extremist and that most of these guys are degenerate fuckheads, but I can see their P.O.V. on the whole first wave of non-satanic Black Metal against the second-wave of true Black Metal that, aparently, isnt that true because they make Satan the star of the Show when, really, True black metal isnt true because they call themselves true and its just....well, a fucking snowball.

Was kind of funny, the part where they discuss whats the best way to eat cereals. Cracked me up

I've managed to watch every mountain climbing-related documentary on Netflix at this point but came across one I haven't seen the other night called Mount Saint Elias, about a small group of downhill skiers making their descent from the top.

Not the most thrilling or intense of the bunch, but it has its captivating moments and as is typical with this kind of documentary, the cinematography is excellent. It could have done a better job really making you feel just how isolated the climbers really were like with The Summit, but I understand the focus was more on the actual descent as opposed to conquering the mountain.
