Talking about which version of this game is your favorite.. Mine is Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, which I played on my old Sega Genesis.. And also Mortal Kombat Unchained (Exclusively for PSP) is very good..
And also talk about your favorite characters. Mortal Kombat characters are very interesting. Sub Zero, Scorpion, Jax, Raptile, Quan Chi, Goro, Noob Saibot, Sektor, Cyrax, Baraka and many other characters are products of creative mind of Ed Boon. They're all great sci-fi characters..
My favorite is mainly Kabal. I mostly play arcade with him. His finishers are interesting and his style looks interesting too.
So let the thread begin..
P.S. I'm not sure if there's a thread for Mortal Kombat. I searched the forum and I found nothing. So if there's one lock it.

Maybe its hard water? Sorry that pun was fucking terrible. Unless its extremely high pressure water Rains moves dont make sense... Still though this is MK so we should let it slide, I mean... They have a blind swordsman in this game  .Kenshi is still Number one Though

Kenshi feels like a non-ninja version of Ermac, the telekinesis and stuff... i dont think he's much of an addition to the game, also swords don't belong in Mortal Kombat, its either everyone have weapons or no one does.

Well, several of the other characters use weapons as well, so its not only Kenshi.. In this game, there's Scorpion (Spear), Nightwolf (Tomahawk), Kano (Knives), Kung Lao (Razor edged hat), Stryker (Gun, Bombs, Taser), Kitana (Razor tipped fans), Kabal (Hookswords), and Human Sektor/Cryax, who all use handheld weapons as well.

Written by X-Ray Rod on 14.07.2011 at 20:14 If you press F+BP with Scorpion, he slashes with his sword. That is a normal move, and he can also use his sword in combos, and it's not a special move. Nightwolf also has normal moves that use his Tomahawk, and Kabal uses his hookswords in some of his normal moves too. I think Kitana also uses her fans in non-special moves too. Kenshi isnt the only one who uses a weapon for normal moves...

Lets not forget that certain hand to hand based moves do more damage than certain weapon based moves/combos... The point of including weapons for certain character is to help give the character their own identity and move set... If a character who has a weapon starts with an advantage over the player who doesnt it would simply break the game... This is NRS first attempt at making a well balanced tournament fighter so if characters with weapons had an advantage they would not have been included in the game in the first place. @Angelic you forgot Baraka , Mileena Jade and Sub Zero

Could be new, an established character, or a guest.. I have no idea. xD I've just edited my previous post so now the pic is shown. I'm thinking it could be Cyber Smoke... For one, only him and Motaro are left from the UMK3 cast who are not currently in the game. Also, the reveal is being made directly after the new Legacy episode which just happens to feature Cyrax and Sektor as the main characters. So... there could be a cyborg ninja connection there!

I think Bo Rai Cho would have some potential, if they made him less humorous, as he is the teacher of Liu Kang and Kung Lao. And so story wise, is a pretty big part of it. xDCyber Smoke would be kewl... I hope if it is him, that they've given him his "world explosion" fatality from MK3! lol Well, Motaro has his character model in the game already. (you see him in story mode) So it wouldn't surprise me if he showed up later in the year as DLC... The problem with putting the classic 4-legged Motaro in the new MK, is the xray moves. Some of the xrays would be impossible to pull off on a 4-legged Centaur, so I think xrays would have to be disabled while fighting him. And you're right, the 2-legged version of Motaro was blasphemy! hehe

I dont think its going to be Motaro as he has mostly been a boss character similar to Goro/Kintaro... IMO it would be too hard to balance him with the rest of the games characters. I still think (hoping) the last character is either Shinnok or Fujin. Just downloaded Rain and he is awesome very quick and lots of moves which you can set up/build combos from.

Written by Zombie on 22.07.2011 at 06:14 Yep, it does work I got the season pass when Skarlet was released, and every character has shown up as "0 Microsoft Points" in the in game menu. If you get the season pass, you can't get the characters from the dashboard, as they will be charged for. You need to access them from the Downloadable Content menu in the game. Oh, and it's heavily rumored that Jason is also coming to MK later in the year!

I'd love it if Jason is added to MK (although it will not be a MK anymore as everyone would play with Jason and Freddy ... add to them Kratos.. now it's not MK at all) ... but it would be great watching fatalities by jason, i cant imagine how gory they ought to be

If you take your nostalgia goggles off (I dont mean you personally btw) when playing these games you will most likely think they havent aged well ... the only difference between characters are the fatalities and the special moves, dont get me wrong I am a fan of the old MK but the earliest games relied on the gore to sell as there wasnt much depth in the game play..... this new MK has a lot more depth and longevity and is better off because of it.

I am a huge fan of MK 3 and especially MK 2, but Agent Orange is right about the new MK having way more depth in it's gameplay. I also think the latest MK is the best one in series, although I am disappointed that they didn't include friendships. lol
