Spent a few hours now on Darkest Dungeon. etc
Hahaha and I just opened this thread to post something about Darkest Dungeon... seems like it's quite unbalanced from what you say. As I am not interested at all in trying "early access" games, I'll patiently wait until they balance it up. I really have high hopes for it too.
In other news, Ultima Underworld 2's official sequel is getting a kickstarter as I write this... *cries*

Diablo 1. The atmosphere is still great. The best games are based on a simple concept and the way Diablo just throws you into a medieval-ish town with haunting music is fantastic. Then you find the church and just start making your way down, curious but also dreading the things to come. Why can't games just be like this? Demon's Souls/Dark Souls are the only games to rival the games from that era, and to succeed they need to throw all subtlety out of the window and sell the game with immature "Oooh You Will Die Because This Game is so hard" crap. They're not _hard_ games, but they definetly are _good_ games.

I guess it stays saved that you had an old game where you killed Toriel and then erased and made other and it keeps throwing it at you which is kinda annoying. At least Toriel lives now, but I'll always keep wondering what happened if I never killed her at the first time

Hi guys how are you today? Here is some well-known (so dont flame about how every1 knows it) turn based recommendations: Banner Saga - Really sick artwork, great story line and above average combat. Shadowrun - Epic universe, kinda funny combat, little bit dull scenario. Xcom Enemy Within -One of the best games I've ever played in 5 years. Base interaction is out of this world. Combat system is sick and hard. Iron mode is for freaks which including me.

Started playing Skyrim again after a year of not paying it any attention. This game is awesome. After the magnificent The Witcher 3, I feared that I would be overwhelmed by it, but going back to it, it is really enjoyable. The story is good enough and the game rewards your desire to explore.

I've been working on my first/second run of Diablo III. I currently do not have the expansion, Reaper Of Souls (so many things to buy but only so much money, of course), so I am replaying the story with the same character I beat it with the first time around (a Demon Hunter). Is there anyone here well versed in the Diablo universe? It seems that, this second time around, there isn't as much excitement playing through because I've plateaued at level 60, resulting in the item drops being pretty samey and/or comparable to what I already have in my possession. Is this simply because of the difficulty I am currently playing it on (Torment I) or is this just how it goes? At any rate, it's an enjoyable game to explore when I've got some down time.

When you don't have the expansion, the only thing you can do is play the campaign over and over again, so obviously you'll get bored of it after a while. That's where the expansion and its "adventure mode" step in, you have lots of things to do and many ways to get that legendary loot. About the loot, i can't go into details without knowing what items you already have but i can tell you that while playing the campaign, the best way to find legendaries and set items is torment 6 and boss fights...the down side is that the loot from bosses has kind of an internal cooldown so if you farm them over and over again, they'll stop dropping items at all and even won't give you any xp after a few times....so your best bet is to just play the whole campaign and do the infernal machines (keywardens)

14.10.2015 - 23:09 Written by Malphas on 14.10.2015 at 17:22 Thank you for the information, I appreciate it! I actually just got an Infernal Machine today which brought me into a pretty nasty boss fight that took me a few tries, heh. At any rate, I ended up getting a crafting material (I don't recall the name) that I assume is to make one of those Hellfire items being sold by the girl peddlar in Act II. As of right now, I don't have enough money to buy either one of the plans but I am saving up accordingly. Now that I am playing in Torment, I've been getting a few drops that are a part of sets (green legendary items) so I assume it's just a matter of luck in finding the full set ... unfortunately, haha. I've gone up to Torment III but I got reamed on that difficulty so I brought it back down to Torment I until I get to a higher paragon level.

Yes that's the thing about diablo and and all the games of that type..it's RNG, everything is RNG so people like me who have no luck whatsoever can't hope to get any good drops lol..that's why there's a way of crafting your gear too but the problem is, the majority of recipes drop on lvl70 (with the expansion). About the infernal machines, you only need the 2 million gold "hellfire ring" recipe, because the other two (or one, I'm not sure if there are a total of 2 or 3 recipes in the vanilla version) are for level 70, so there's no need for you to waste your gold on it/them. On a side note, in order to get all 3 crafting mats for the ring, you need to have all 3 infernal machines, because if you open 1 portal, then another 1 tomorrow, it'll most probably be the same one, which means your best bet is to collect all 3 infernal machines and then do all 3 bosses.

15.10.2015 - 23:07 Written by Malphas on 15.10.2015 at 17:42 Ah, okay, I didn't realize there was more than one Infernal Machine. I actually just ordered a copy of Reaper Of Souls so I should have the expansion within the next week or so. So far I haven't gotten any crafting plans for sets, just random pieces from sets that drop from slain enemies ... I am hoping to get another crossbow from one set although I'm not holding my breath either, heh. At any rate, I am looking forward to playing through Act V and trying my hand at adventure mode as well.

16.10.2015 - 15:24 Written by MoonProgeny on 15.10.2015 at 23:07 Adventure mode's pretty fun, better for repeat plays than the story mode. Although I thought adventure mode was available before the expansion (are you playing on console? Maybe it's different on console). The crusader's pretty good too, although the story itself isn't very good compared to the earlier acts. I was expecting Reaper Of Souls to be like Lord Of Destruction, but unfortunately it wasn't as good.

16.10.2015 - 22:39 Written by M C Vice on 16.10.2015 at 15:24 I am playing the original version of Diablo III on my Mac presently and Adventure Mode is not available. I am able to see that it exists, of course, but I can't enter it until I get my copy of Reaper Of Souls. I've played through the story once and am on my second run now. I was playing on Torment I although I've since upped it to Torment II but, unfortunately, legendary drops still seem to be few and far between. Ah well ... as I get stronger I will keep upping the level, hoping that eventually the drops will be more frequent and consistent.

I haven't played too much since the latest big patch. mostly doing FIFA16 now, but it's fun to go on the occasional murdersprees in Diablo III. finally have a somewhat legit internet connection, so might even get a game with online content like Destiny. unthinkable months ago.

17.10.2015 - 04:31 Written by MoonProgeny on 16.10.2015 at 22:39 I thought adventure mode was available after the big patch that came with the expansion. Guess I was wrong, then. That seasons thing has more legendary drops, if that's what you're after.

17.10.2015 - 06:09 Written by M C Vice on 17.10.2015 at 04:31 I am a bit fuzzy on the whole season thing other than that it allows you to start "fresh" with a new character. I was thinking about starting a season once I finish my second run through the story (including Act V) because, as I understand it, they're only available for a limited time. At any rate, if there are more legendary drops then I am certainly interested, haha.

17.10.2015 - 09:45 Written by MoonProgeny on 17.10.2015 at 06:09 Season characters don't share the stash and gold with your other characters (or each other) but it's all rolled together t the end of the seasons. You'd probably be better off waiting till the next season starts (no idea when that will be, there's no countdowns or dates for them) if you want to play with other people or get the most game time out of it (like if it ends a week after you start it).

Pumped a few hours into Fallout 4. Not too many. Maybe 6 or so. I like it. I actually think the game is pretty breathtaking looking for the most part so I'm surprised at the backlash on that for one thing. Sure, the facial animations are a bit stiff, but no more so than Witcher 3 or Dragon Age 3, and some of the textures look a tad below par up close, but who the hell wants to stare at a door at point blank range? The actual environments are beautiful, and often augmented by various weather conditions and god-rays and fairly competent shadows and lighting. I actually hate walking at night because everything looks so nice in the sun. The gameplay for the most feels like F3 and NV, though fighting from a FP perspective is much more viable than it used to be. VATs actually feels a little less useful this time around. Can't comment too much on the streamlining so far, I'm not sure how exactly the Perks has been streamlined, but apparently they have, but the fact there's no weapon degradation does ruin some of the fun a little. I think another issue I have is the AI. Groups of enemies can be exploited by keeping a distance as a lot of the time they won't stray too far out of their areas, so you can pick them off from a ranged position. On the other hand enemies use of grenades is a bit bullshit. The ones that use them have infinite, and are deadly accurate with them, nailing you over structures and hills when they shouldn't be able to see you. I also found 2 Fatmen fairly near the starter area too, which is a bit rubbish. You'd think they would be harder to get. Although I did get one off a guy wearing Power Armour who was using the Fatman himself. I blasted him with my one Mini-Nuke. I've also encountered a few bugs, though nothing game breaking yet.

I really like the orc country add on for Elder Scrolls Online. Much more enjoyable than most of the bits I'd already played in the game. I think it might be the setting, it looks the same as Skyrim was, and act 5 was my favourite part of Diablo 2. Maybe I find cold, snowy places exotic?
