It really hits you again now that Chester is gone. Will take some getting used to but sounds promising, girl has a great voice

The livestream was great and Emily seems like a more than worthy replacement for Chester. I really dug the lead single; it reminds me a bit of the Minutes to Midnight era, maybe with some Hybrid Theory/Meteora mixed in. Regardless, I'm very excited for this record and new era for the band.

A Real Mönkey
Well new vocalist or not im sure it’ll be just as awful as everything else by this band.

I think it's cool that they decided to try something new instead of just hiring some Chester imitator. More metal bands should do stuff like this whenever they have an opportunity, playing it too safe is just boring and lazy. Being afraid of your audience is so pathetic.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!

I had a few listens last night while working. It felt quite nostalgic. Reminded me of the Minutes to Midnight time. I think the album is closest to that album and The Hunting Party. The new vocalist has done a pretty good job and I'm happy they did more rock than hip hop this time

Solid record! Sounds a lot like Minutes to Midnight, which is fine by me. Really excited to see the future of the band from here.

The album goes by surprisingly quick, though I don't think I'd be able to stand any more of it. Nothing stood out as bad to be honest, I thought it was all pretty okay with a couple of quite good songs.

LP were probably my first ever favourite band many moons ago, but even though I liked a few songs on Minutes To Midnight, I don't think I ever listened to any of the albums that followed it, so I've not got much context of where they've gone in the interim. This album is consistently rockier than MTM, and overall it's reasonably decent alt rock/metal with solid vocals - a majority of the songs have something good going for them. At the same time, there's none of them that I would be inclined to return to, and there's a few songs that really miss the mark (Casualty feels very long for a 2-minute track)

Fwiw, LP took a big risk to bring someone who can shadow Chester to whom LP fans mostly worship him. It would be dynamic if fans started accepting a chick for his idolatry status.
