Would you mind explaining to me how Jesus does not fit into the Metal lifestyle?

dude so prog metal is a rip off of prog then 'cus it has diffrent guitars? ok they sound like some other types of music but they all ahve their own style. what about heavy metal and power metal, their two diffrent genres that sometimes sound the same. are they ripping each other off? and i didnt say agree with anyone. this for finding out peoples favreouite bands not peoples religion. if u want to argue about religion go and open another forum

christian metal is nothing new. just different lyrics. so musically its a ripoff
at least Extol is, I know this band pretty good

so the meads of ashphodel are ripping off prog metal cus they have diffrent lyrics (on some of their songs anyway, the rest are heavy metal with black metal lyrics). and what about other christian forms of music? is that ripping off other genres i think not. in the world christian music is regonised as a genre so y not christian metal?

Man hellenic/Serbian/Armenian/Georgian ortodox church are strongest in world and weekness are not belive to him, but follow evil, but belive him, listen metal and same time others dont understand its STRONGNESS

With that being said, who is excited for the new Demon Hunter album? I have heard the four tracks they have on their MySpace page. If the rest of the album is of that quality, this will be their best album. Has anyone else heard them yet?

I haven't really checked out any Christian metal bands out yet, when I have the chances to do so I never think of it. Are there any Christian metal bands that have harsh death metal type vocals?

I like the vocals but the music sounds nu metalish or metalcorish.

Any recommendations that have extreme elements? Like technical thrashyness, death metal elements, etc.

Have you ever heard Extol, Living Sacrifice, Immortal Souls or Tourniquet?

I don't hear any death in their but, especially on Dimensions they have this slight progressive edge to their music as well.
btw, I saw them live a couple of times when they toured Europe in support of Sanity Obscure (which was released by Roadrunner in Europe, maybe also the US but I think that was R.E.X. there) and interviewed them via a phoner for Meltdown Magazine just before that tour. Remember talking about thrash with folk influences to them during the interview (which they hadn't heard about at the time) and made tape with the first Skyclad album on it for them. Also these guys were as healthy as could be didn't drink a drop of alcohol and had loads of fresh fruit backstage, but there was alcohol aplenty for the people in their entourage and the press.

There are a lot of things to say about CM, but there are some bands that we really have to hear to. Sacrifice by example, Christian Metal dont have to be metalcorish or numetalish, I've heard some bands that really knows why the fuck God made the Metal Music...:thumbup:

Well, what do you think is "bullshit" about it? Is it the aspect that Christians shouldn't play metal? Or is it the aspect that there are bands who play Metal who have lyrics deal with Christian topics?

I vote for other because my fav are melo black metal band from Sweden 'Crimson Moonlight' IMO ist ebst cristain band ever and also some band members are played to other cristian bands and also Sweeds has BM band Armauk who are cristians too so I loike those bands, also Norwegians doomsters Antestor and To Cast a Shadow
Those are my fav band

That's it. Crimson Moonlight is not only one of the best using christian themes but also one of the best overall.
