Tough choice really! As far as the 80s are concerned i prefer Metallica. As for the 90s and the 00s, i prefer Megadeth, they were more inspired and more creative than Metallica.
So my final decision is Megadeth.

Fuckin' Megadeth! I can't get enough of their first four albums. I have a lot of Metallica cd's and I liked them first but Megadeth just overrules them in my book now. I have alomst all Megadeth's cd's and I like almost all of them. My favorites are the first two which are thrashier than any cd Metallica ever made. Megadeth's (I don't want to say superior because that's an opinion) so freaking good.

there isnt one of them that id rather see more. I dont care if metallica sold out they are still cool(Jaymz is anywayz) Megadeth is awesome Dave is an awesome guitarist one of the best on my list. If it all came down to it though id go see megadeth

I'd rather see Megadeth, considering that they have Jon Lopez from BLS and the Drovers, which is almost as good as the Marty Friedman and Nick Menza lineup. Not to mention who they're touring with. Megadeth is touring with Opeth, Nevermore, Symphony X, Lamb of God, Overkill, and Dream Theater. A metalhead in gigantour is like a kid in a candy store. This year had to be one of the best concerts i've ever been to. When Metallica is touring with Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizcuit, you tell me who's keeping metal alive?

This is kind of hard. Considering that Metallica was stronger in the 80's than the 90's. Megadeth was a force to be reckon with as well. But not many people took them seriously. Kind of sucks doesn't it? Oh well though, Megadeth still came out on top for me. Metallica on the other hand went down in the hole. Megadeth gets my vote for this one.

4. Friedman MUCH MUCH MORE than Hammett Friedman with more time will be one of most talent guitar player of history. Hammett is pentatonic fucking player. point to megadeth

Megadeth is way better and their new CD's dont suck either. Metallica had 5 decent albums, then the rest sucked. Megadeth had only 3 shitty albums but they were redeemed by "The System has Failed" and Their Upcoming one. \m/egadeth!

Metallica might of been a better band to begin with but Megadeth has stayed far more consistant than Metallica whom are now washed up straight edge old guys. So my vote is for Megadeth.

well metallica is a great band.just think of these bIG 4: ride the lightning , master, justice and kill em all.but in my opinion you can immediately forget (re)load, or st.anger.just bullshit..

Indeed they are, but don't deny that Metallica helped to consolidate metal way more than megadeth...

I keep with Metallica first, cuz they was ine of the best bands in early 80's and its a band ho inspired a looooot of the bands in metal scene nowadays and second cuz i dont like Megadeth at all, but its truly that Megadeth its much better than Metallica in nowadays i recognized it but anyway my vote go to Metallica

Megadeth for sure . they expand their music and brought something new .
People use to say "Metallica Rocks" like there is no mind in them , But Metallica stopped after "and Justice For All" or better could say that they died .They changed to hard rock or NU metal which is totaly crap .
It seems that they have nothing to say after Cliff Burton .
I think that the only thing that metallica rocks Megadeth is vocal and sometimes drummings .
Kirk is overrated surely and he is not a good musician but a good live performer .
As you can see , there is no solo in four recent albums .
And "The architect of metal" , is the stupid thing .
They only own 4 great albums and no more although these albums have not any departure and variety yet .

Megadeth's good, but Metallica's more popular, more powerful and in my opinian they are more talented then Megadeth by a bit (except in completely screwed up albums like St. Anger). By the way, after people are done voting in this poll can we please never bring up this arguement again?

megadeth is a great band, actually they made history in the 80s, but i choose metallica, i think their songs are more catchy and they had more popular songs, not only among the metal lovers, also they knew how to catch everyone's attention!:banger:

Megadeth+Mustaine suck balls! Mustaine is just jealous that Hetfield is way better than him, and therefore created Megadeth to find out who is better than the other. Well guess what?
