There is also this great power metal called Oratory. It's unusual because it is a female lead singer but they sound great.

Oh and its easy to add a band if you have their official sites. I added a lot of portuguese bands. Its easier if there is a review, because that means the band is already part of MS although invisible.

Not bad but not exactly my sound.

I'm not going to search through 5 OTHER pages just to see if someone wrote this band or not. But Corpus Christii is a killer Portugese band! Rising was a good album...I think I should probably listen to it soon again.

And I don't like Moonspell. Never been a fan.

Are they a joke band or it's just their stile? When I see the vocalist Duro(Vai Tudo Abaixo) I think "this Motherf*cker are playing with me" but their music don't sound that awful and I have fun with it....

The other day I decided I'd finally listen to their album. After all, I had heard so many things about them that I wanted to make up my own mind.
I listened to it once... and it was enough. I believe they may be a good band to see live in a certain kind of event (like the Queima das Fitas) as the joke-act they are, but no more than that. I certainly don't see how they managed to get to play in last Halloween's fest in Lisboa...

In January i saw Desire live and they performed quite well but unfortunately i was not in the mood and i didn't stay to see the rest of their show.

I also saw Desire in January (Incinerated, were you at Mangualde too?), but they're definitely not my cup of tea. Waaaay too doom, depressive and - quite frankly - boring for my personal tastes, despite the quality of their musicians. I grabbed some dinner as they played.

Yes, i was. In the Leng Tch'e show i even fell with my face straight to the floor (almost in the middle of the moshpit), i woke a few minutes later and i was bleeding from my nose. Hot tea and then a cold beer work perfectly

God - Gothic/doom metal orgianly from Roaminia, now located in Porto, rwealy good band. Filosophical lyrics in englsih, latin, romanian and now portuagese, I try fidn some place where you can hear it, realy good band

Have you guys heard of Heavenwood? I received a few days ago an email from an online metal store, and there was a Heavenwood cd. I find the cover art interesting so I went to check the band out. I've found the biography pretty impressive for a Portuguese band. I've only heard a few songs from their Myspace and I must say that I liked it at first. What u guys think?

I'm hearing them right now and it isn't exactly my type but so far I have to say I like it either... And indeed, quite impressive bio! I'm looking forward to hear more songs from this band! Thks man!!
