Sadly this is not nearly as catchy and energetic as the prvious album.. It starts very well though, the first track got me thinking they could fill the whole left by Iced Earth in my heart. Then they break the rhythm right away with a ballad on track 2, what an awful decision, don't put ballads so early in an album, before it builds any momentum.. Then from there it's all too soft and a bit boring I have to say. To bad, I loved their previous one.

Written by Liafev on 03.06.2024 at 22:40 I find this comment reassuring; I wasn't inspired to revisit their previous one, but I felt like it had been one of the stronger power metal albums I'd heard in the past few years, so when I found myself so underwhelmed (and at times irritated) by this one, I wondered whether I just misremembered it.
