Estonia, Tallinn - Metsatöll & The Estonian National Male Choir

On March 3, Metsatöll's fourth studio album Äio will see the light of day. The band will present their new album on March 19th and 20th in Rock Café, Tallinn. What makes these shows special is that during the band's longest set ever, Metsatöll, together with the National Male Choir, will present both all of the new songs as well as the songs from the Raua needmine DVD. In addition, the two-hour show will include pickings from all the previous albums.

"When we were recording the new album with the National Male Choir this past autumn, the guys themselves suggested that when it's time to present the album, they will come and sing as well," says Markus, Metsatöll's vocalist.

"Since putting together a show with this many performers is extremely complicated and costly, and the technical preparations will definitely take more than 24 hours, we decided to do both shows at the same location," the band's drummer Atso says, referring to the fact that despite a close friendship, Metsatöll has not permanently joined in with the Choir, and thus there will be no more shows as spectacular as these in the near future.

On Friday, March 19, Rock Café will open at 9p.m. and the show will begin an hour later. On Saturday, March 20, the doors will open already at 4p.m. and the show starts at 5p.m.

"Unfortunately, no minors will be allowed to the show on Friday, so that the older folks can relax and enjoy themselves without being embarrassed in front of the younger people. But there will be no age limit on Saturday," says Atso.

"On Saturday, we will begin this early not just because of the younger fans, but also so that people who have come from afar could begin driving back home at around eight in the evening," says Markus, and adds: "These new album presentation shows will also mark Metsatöll's eleventh birthday."

The guys also promise that on both days they will sign autographs and answer any questions for an hour before the show begins.
