Hopelessly want to play cacophonous riffs with no soul.

Classic.

Pain of Salvation - The passing light of day
A friend shared a youtube video of it the other day, so I went to listen to it, and I quite like it as a whole. My favorite track it is " the taming of a beast"

Both are fucking monstrous slabs of hardcore-laden death grind, the latest one is more death oriented though but just as good. Ethan McCarthy never fails to fucking deliver.

Excommunion - Thronosis

Really good slightly blackened osdm from Dark Descent Records. Fuck, this label never fails to deliver.

I oughta try it then with black coffee sometime because I wonder if it works with the normal Indian version where we have it with milk and I guess there ain't much effect of caffeine off it.

I don't find this album bad, these dessonant/psychedelic leviathan type bands get kinda boring pretty quickly though imo.

I should check this out, I definitely like Urzeit better than Ash Borers new album.

Did you check it yet? I'm quite sure you'd like it. The long riff sections are a highlight, give me sort of Ygg vibes.

I only got to about quater of the way through before something came up, but yeah, sounded good from the little I heard. I'll listen to it properly this week.

Listen to it again and wasn't overly impressed to be honest.

So this is the band that everyone goes on about. For me being very late to the scene and hearing this after hearing all the bands that were inspired by them, it kind of feels like if I were a horror movie fan who has only seen recent cgi movies, and then watching a 1980s classic because its highly praised in the genre. I definitely like dso better.
